is there any way to get steam profile background except trading? or how-to-get it?

am i have to collect the game-cards? :O

Better buy the background you like from the store, because is not a good a idea spend cards to get a background, cards are to sell them on the market and after get free games with your Steam wallet :D I mean you will spend more money collecting cards instead of just buying a background and selling cards, also by selling you will be benefit.

Use the Enhanced Steam addon and you can choose any profile background without actually owning the card.

Crafting a set gives you a random background from that game + random icon also from the game + coupon.

You collect every card within a set and then there's an option to craft them into a badge. This gives you the badge for your profile, XP, a coupon, a background and an emoticon.

In your profle go to badges and there there should appear your progress. When you get all 6 ot 8 cards of the set a button will appear for crafting them into the badge.

Crafting cards is more expensive than buying a background, almost 20 times more. Even if you trade for cards and spend nothing, but you don't sell this cards, so you don't get the money you could got from selling them + get a random background, that can be bad.

Just search "background" in the steam market, to only see the background and not the cards and emotes, and look which one you like, or which cheap ones you like, I bought my background for about 0,15 € so its almost free.

Agree with you mate.Though i spent 0.27€ for my background(2hours after trine 2 cards came out) .Was thinking to craft a badge(wont be so expensive compared to other games) but naaaah...steam summer sale soon(i hope)

DON'T CRAFT CARDS!!! Just buy the background you want on the market. Most of the backgrounds are cheaper than the cards.
