When creating some giveaways, I included the Humble Bundle gift 'key' (The bit after: www.humblebundle.com/gift?key=) because it wouldn't let me input the whole URL.
After they had ended, I clicked 'send key', but I don't know if people will know to append it to the end of 'humblebundle.com/gift?key='?

Anyone got any insight into what happens when you win a giveaway for something like this?

facepalm

You should just email them, or add them on steam with the full url and explanation. And if you didnt, should in the future put in the description for the game that its a HB gift, and winner will recieve via email.

I always say in the description if it is a HB gift or a raw Steam key, I was just unsure due to the wording under the 'Key List' part of the creation form: "Please enter Steam redeemable keys, or gift URLs from Steam or Humble Bundle."
It isn't totally clear that Gift URLs aren't accounted for!

IMHO, you have several options:

1) contact the winner directly and tell him/her how to use the key
2) add the instructions to your giveaway description(s)
3) wait until the baffled winner contacts you
4) E-Mail the winner with the complete url and instructions

I'm contacting everyone that got a gift link 'key' to make sure they know how to redeem it, but I will definitely include the instructions in the description in the future!
First time using the site since it was updated, but thank you!
