So you dint gift the winner because he dint activate a private giveaway?
Private giveaways are private and im pretty sure there are no rules for private giveaways beeing activated or whatever.

Don't trade, sell, resubmit, or give away games you win.
It's not important, what kind of giveaway it is.

Private giveaways are under the exact same rules as any other giveaway except for the special rule for private giveaways (don't share the URL without the giveaway creator's permission). They absolutely have the same requirements for activating your gift.

Sorry to hear, but a**holes are everywhere. I suggest you to make at least contributor 0,01$ if it's public. It filters some fake accounts & contributors at least understood the site rules, but its just my opinion.

The giveaway in question is set for $100 contributors. It's just the blind faith in humanity. Sadly there are too many people who didn't bother to read the rules and boosted their contributor status with something not allowed here (bundle seps, fakes, etc) :/

@Incognitoe
•Don't trade, sell, resubmit, or give away games you win.
•Winnings must be redeemed on the winning account.
•You must redeem the game on the account you entered with, and may not trade it to others.
•Members may only enter for their own account for games they do not already own.

I approve of this. He broke the rules and probably was lying. I doubt someone would have traded away those games just for Magicka. Two 60$ games in exchange for a 3$ game? Even if he got something else out of it, it just seems impossible. He probably entered a fake private giveaway to boost anothers contribution.

Well, considering that he didn't read the rules, he didn't know what he was doing was wrong. So when Ball00n tells him that, no, he's decided not to give him the gift he's won, I can see him being a little upset.
Doesn't excuse him for being a dick, but consider ignorance before malice.

If you look at the chronology of this...
that person broke the rules (the crime wasn't yet discovered by SG)
now he won again (if SG had already found of the above crime, he would have been banned and would not be able to participate anymore; Balloon just acted preventively and did not give to the fellon what he did not deserve)

I see where you are coming from but i still think that he should not be the one to judge if the guy deserved the win or not.
He shouldn't have told him that he isn't going to give him his game, he should have told him that he asked the support about what he should do and that he is waiting for their reply. He has one week time to give him the game anyway.
If the Support says that he didn't deserve the win and that he can get a reroll, fine. But i wouldn't have said that he just isn't going to get it.

Totally disagree. If I've bought a game to gift, I've done so [with my hard-earned cash] so that someone can enjoy it. If I wanted it traded, I'd have done so myself. I doubt I'm the only one who see it this way.
Personally, I think the "winner" being an utter fucktard invalidates any obligation for the gifter to give them anything.

you will get what you diserve
Yeah, some respect from community for not giving the game to a cheater and standing your ground to preserve the rules. You had every right to ask for a re-roll.

All of this started from nothing, and i want you all guys to give your opinion.Yes i broke the rule when i traded the 2 gifts, but if you check my account, i have only 3 weeks since i joined, i was a newbie.Second, those where private giveaway so i thought that i can do anything i want with them, since my PC is not so strong. When i won his giveaway, and added him to get my gift, he refused, saying that i don't deserve it.I explained everything that happened, but he didn't understand, he wanted a reroll, just because he considered me a scammer.Again, yes i broke that rule, but i was very happy when i saw i can get a game that i can play.Check my profile, you will se that i am no scammer,i am legit, and all of this is a miss understanding, where people judge others without knowing.
I hide from nothing.I take my fault for braking that rule, but again, i was a newbie, ho did a single mistake.I am not the only or the last.

1) Newbies, especially, should read the rules
2) You didn't read the rules and then broke them
3) Not knowing the rules is no excuse for breaking them
4) Let the mods handle the support ticket. If the mods say you win the game, the gifter will be punished if they don't give it to you. Otherwise, you don't get the game.
Only enter games that you want to win and intend on activating on your account. That is what SteamGifts is for. However, I expect that the mods will give you a chance to explain yourself, if they don't see this thread.

Well, you see, nobody but you knows why you did things like breaking rules.
There is also a rule against calling people out on the forums, so your name was not mentioned. This meant that nobody knew who Ball00n was talking about until you showed up and decide to let everyone know it was you.
You really need to read this before you do anything else here.

Um... be warned that if you mark the gift as "not received" and the mods decide that Ball00n was right not to give you the gift, they will also remove the "not received" and you will have done nothing to his reputation.
Especially because right now, Ball00n has already submitted a ticket and has been waiting for several days. If the mods decide that you DO get the game you won from him, he will be told to give it to you. If he doesn't THEN, at that point you can mark it as "not received".
You need to stop posting in this thread and read the rules.

this is your reputation that is at stake so i wouldn't even think about making a complaint about not receiving the gift when you appeared to be a moron taking an advantage of the sg humble community and not fucking knowing this few simple rules we have here. be gone

I think I understood only half of what you said, but if you are the one who wrote that chat message to Ball00n... yes... to me you are both arrogant and a dipshit.
Rules are rules, and winning a game that others wanted to play but couldn't afford only to trade it for something else is not only against the rules but also a slap in the face to everyone who was hoping to play that game you inconsiderably traded.

Shame that your first public giveaway ended with problems. Do not let it discourage you. There are still plenty of good people out there.

I've already created a lot of giveaways, but all of them were Group. But, when I won ND I decided to create public giveaway of this game with some contribution fee. I thought, that there will be some problems.
In a day my giveaway ended. But before sending gift I decided to check winners profile, and this is what I saw. One of the winners previosly won CoD:MW3 and CoD:BO in private giveaways, but not activated them. So, i created a support ticket.
Next day winners added me on steam and I explained to both of them, that I asked for reroll.
But, the winner, who didn't activated games said, that he traded them for magicka or something, and he was saying, that it was completely legit.
I said that I won't send gift to him.
Today, he posted comment on my steamprofile (it's public) and I added him and again I said, that I wan't send gift. This is what he said, right before deleting me:
person: you little comunist freak, you will get what you diserve
person: so
person: have a bad day
person: bitch
person is now Offline.
Now I'm waiting for support, and I hope they will ban him.
P.S. Sorry for my English.
P.P.S. and I don't want to create any public giveaways after that.
