Green Man Gaming Issues

Hey, i have tried purchasing Dishonored. with the 25% off coupon, listed on their site.
no matter what payment i select, it will decline me. i tried paypal, and have more than enough in there. but it comes up with an error.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Yes, a lot of people experience this, and despite these people repeatedly complaining to the support team of GMG for this, they refuse to answer it anymore, claiming the problem is fixed.

well that is a kick in the balls. This is the first time it's happened for me. they kept saying about, my payment options (paypal or my bank) mistakenly think GMG is a gambling site, and therefor block it. i can't see them doing that?

It's definitely something to do with the bank, but it's nothing the bank can actually do, it is GMGs responsibility to clear with the bank, not ours. Unfortunately? Not much we can do. Also, just as a guess...Lloyds TSB?

Your Payment Provider has not authorised your purchase. This may be because some banks (incorrectly) believe that Green Man Gaming is a gambling website. Please contact your bank to discuss your order. We are working with these banks to resolve this issue.

I'll get that whether i use paypal, or my bank account. both with more than enough money in

well that is a bitch to hear. i shall take your advice, and order later on tonight. being a UK based site, i think at midnight UK time, traffic should be pretty low. If it still doesn't work then, i shall send them a message.

Don't know if this may apply to you but I once had an issue like that via Steam Store! Turn's out it was just the bank's server being funky and all. Tried to purchase the same game later and it worked.

Last time I got a problem ordering from them (error message with every payment option) it was my postal code missing from my profile. Just make sure everything is filled in correctly as their site will block on the smallest details. (And I had ordered from them before I got that error so either my data got deleted or they changed some stuff up.)

The only thing I have been able to "buy" from GMG has been from trading in the random freebies. They have great deals too, but it never works for me, even after calling my bank/CC multiple times.

That's the exact reason I never buy from them.

Also the fact they fucking charged me for a game I never got, and I had to cancel my credit card because of it.

Never had a problem with GMG, try contacting support, if you let them know what deal you missed out on they may honour it.
