My opinion is that they have no respect for the other people they play with. It makes the game lose the fun it has. Like i been trying to play MW3 and theres no point when you go into a match with you and your team vs 3 hackers, its just no fun. They think they are all pr0 and refuse to listen or acknowledge that they are being unfair. They have 0 respect for anyone else except themselves. There is such a thing as being a good gamer, you play, you have fun, you lose big deal you congratz the other team as being better. Even if im against someone who is insane good and not hacking i still enjoy playing with them because they worked to get that good. They didnt spend 5 mins on youtube and dl a hack. Sorry for the rant its just annoying.

The only hackers I hate are on Jedi Academy, because they can make your game crash with various scripts, or try and crash the server you're at. But then again, they ain't hackers, just little men with big downloaded guns (or scripts/tools, if you prefer it that way).

Usually their response is, "but I'm having fun!"

When your fun encroaches upon everyone else's, you're not doing it solely because it's fun, you're doing it because you enjoy ruining it for everyone else in return.

STORY TIME! Many years ago when I had a pretty shitty PC library of games I played GunZ, since it was F2P. That game had hackers pretty much every game. One game there was a guy in a low level game with the max amount of armor and HP the game allowed, infinite double jump (so he basically flew), a rocket launcher with infinite ammo that fired at machine gun rates, AND an aimbot.

So this guy would just stay in the center room at ceiling level firing down upon us, but here's the thing: the aimbot. The rockets took time to reach you so dumbass and his lazy aimbot self couldn't kill you if you kept constantly on the move. So I got him to lock onto me and spent ages pouring clip after clip into him. I killed him TWICE to his ZERO kills on me. When all was said and done and the round was over I had more points, more kills, and the sweetest, sweetest denial whining from him in the after match chat. "Nuh uh, you didn't win the round! I DIDN'T LOSE!"

I really liked your story. It was kinda like a bedtime story for me, since I will soon be going to bed and I was just checking the forum a bit before doing so. Maybe you'd like to tell me another one?? I could read it tomorrow before going to bed as another bedtime story :)

Okay, you do know how they work, right?? I'm supposed to smash it really hard on your face, and you shouldn't worry if the spikes go through your body and you bleed to death, because that's how you're supposed to use a bed of spikes >:).

Yea, yea, yea, "Cool story, bro," but it's so VERY satisfying to absolutely demolish blatant cheats.

They are douchbags plain and simple. I never get mad when they end up banned, but they can ruin a good match/game.

I remember when TF2 had the 'infinite build glitch' for the engineer. Also the lesser known 'heavy can move at full speed while revved up glitch'. I had a looooooooooot of fun with those. But then, I don't play for teh srs, and most people thought it was all in good fun. Valve shuts down their big glitches in under a day most of the time, so gotta make the most of it while you can.

Hackers, on the other hand, are annoying pimpledicked little 12 year olds that think downloading an aimbot hack makes them cool.

I believe the things I think about them are too brutal for me to describe, but they involve a lot of sharp objects, torture, screams, bleeding, gore and psychotic laughter... oh, wait, those were the thing I wanna do to them, sorry.

As a less violent thought- I would say those are arrogant immoral people who deserve being put in their place IRL. I simply cannot imagine why someone would do that... if a game is won by cheating, how could they possibly feel like they've accomplished anything? Or do they feel some sort of sick satisfaction by annoying other people and ruining their fun? Just like a bully in a kinder garden gets satisfaction by bullying the weaker kids?
Personally, I'll never understand that... if the people around me are happy, I'm happy; if they're sad, I'm sad. So I'll never understand how people could get joy by making others sad.

On multiplayer where you fight against each other it is annoying and stupid.

On single player there are tons of reason to abuse gliches and hack the game, where it is just to create a giant massacre for the sake of entertainment not completion.
Things such as Missing No. from Pokemon was an awesome glich people abused. I remember the days I cloned an army of pidgy just for the sake of it! Heck just go on youtube and you can watch awesome glich and hack videos of single player games, you can just imagine how entertaining it is to be able to do some of those things.
The good old days of gameshark was awesome cause you can do impossible things just for the sake of it.
Even in multiplayer games where you are playing against the computer not each other it can be hilarious.
A more recent example can be skyrim with its console commands where people can literally do anything they want.
Or when everyone is playing with a hack to generate a new play style, such as giving everyone one shot kill.
If we bring hacking to a higher level we can even go as far as modding where we create a new game.

It is not acceptable to hack or abuse gliches for competitive play (unless its hacker vs hacker), cause its just plain stupid. But more importantly it intrudes on other people's entertainment, sort of how raging is annoying in MOBAs. In the end they are just worsening their community and more and more people will leave the game. It is perfectly fine to hack though, if it does entertain EVERYONE involved not just yourself.

those, who spend 5 min on youtube and download a hack are called script kiddies in hacker world. And yeah, noone loves those. Exploiting a bug is sometimes more fun then playing, when you are actually creating the expoilt. I'm not a super hacker myself, but when i created an expoit fore some game, i made it as public as possible, so that everyone can understand, it is easily possible to be scammed, and for a game developer to know, he should fix that enormous security breache.
