He is an uncomparable artist!!! He simply loves loves loves what he does, and you can see that in his amazing movies :) they're entertaining, addictive, very memorable, and i promisse you... boredom does not belong to his dictionary!!! Although most of them are pretty gore, don't let it illude you... there are beatiful gore movies, like quentin's Kill Bill, or Django. They always touch you in a passionate way... and i remember home when i see them. Considered by many and me, the best :) :) :) Portugal

He makes motion comics, and is not stuck up like some of the other directors who are trying to sell you crap for art. Is he a big deal, depends on what do you think by that. I don't know anyone who did not hear of him, if that is what you are asking...

I think he's a big deal. I respect pretty much everything he's had a hand in. I think my favorite is True Romance, which he wrote. US.

I'm from the U.S. He's a very big deal in the art film scene, and is one of the few mainstream directors who consistently makes non-standard movies. He's almost guaranteed to be nominated for Best Director and Best Picture in numerous critical circles, and his movies tend to dominate the box office on their opening weekends.

Yes, he's a very big thing!
IMO, because he's one of the only ones who can manage to bring that IDGAF feeling from B movies to the world of AAA titles.

Example: wolverine movies are very good and hugh jackman is an excellent actor, but if Tantino made them, they'd be GREAT, with a 5 feet tall ugly canadian as the protagonist, and violence and gore above the necessary level, like a true wolverine movie should be :)

Yes, absolutely. Reservoir Dogs is the best in my opinion, then it's Inglourious Basterds. Loved also Pulp Fiction, Django, and the last segment of Groom Service (The Man From Hollywood). From France.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan, though I think he's definitely a unique and clever filmmaker, and I particularly like the way he writes dialogue. That being said, while I think that some of his movies are very entertaining (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction), others bore the hell out of me (Kill Bill, Inglorious Basterds), and none of his movies have impacted me enough to name them among my favorites.

I'm from Romania btw.

I loved Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs was the best imo. Inglorious Basterds had decent bits, Death Proof was fun. Django and Kill Bill were very meh, Django was far too predictable. Still love Jacky Brown and the last segment of Four Rooms (QT's take on the old Roald Dahl short story)

I'm from South Africa, Cape Town: Very artsy European-like hipster town, lot of people here either hate him or love him depending on how many good movies they've seen I guess or how unique they want to appear.

I think that he is very talented, I always knew of him but only started to pay attention to his work recently and I can say that he lives up to the reputation especially since two of his films(Django Unchained and Inglorious Bastards) are in my top 10 films of all time.

EDIT: Oh and UK
