I never played Harvest Moon, but I do like the NES vibe I am getting from the graphics. If the price was right, I think I would get this game for sure.

Price will be US$14.99, it should be roughly the same for other regions when translated. (http://stardewvalley.net/)

I know right! I was looking for a Harvest Moon sort of game on PC I have played a lot of Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life for PS2 and some of them on DS Lite years ago!

Already grabbing it the second it's released. I've been following this game for a few years now. I keep checking the Steam page to make sure I got the release date right....
Hopefully it at least is on the Harvest Moon level, i've never loved anything more than those games and over the years i've tried so many games that are 'like Harvest Moon' and i've liked none of them.

Do you know how many hours the game may be? If it's over 20 hours, that price isn't too shabby at all.

It is said to be at least 40 hours to complete the story. (You can continue to play on afterwards)
The developer also says that he hopes to continue updating the game after release.
(So you can expect at least a few more updates (and multiplayer) after launch)

To be honest, I'd only want it for single player anyhow.
If it's going to be at least 40 hours, then the price is definitely worth it. Thanks for letting me know.:)

To give a more detailed answer, he said it would take 40-50 hours to get through 2 years of game time which should be enough to complete the story. However the game has 2 "paths" you can take, either helping the town restore it's old community center or siding with a big corporation and helping them build a mall/supermarket in town(which would mean the community center gets torn down) and this would entail at least 2 playthroughs. Plus like honestkiddy said you can continue to grow your farm/explore the mines afterwards as well. There's also 9 eligible NPCs(both male and female) that you can court and marry and that might also give you more replay value if you wanna bang em all :D

I planned to get it as I enjoyed Runefactory a lot however it is going to have to wait for a sale unfortunately. I'll definitely get it eventually though.

It's on my wishlist, but I'll wait for sale (and reviews) to decide if to buy it or not.
