Fallout New Vegas DLC problem

not to long ago i won Fallout New Vegas DLC Courier's stash, and when i try to activate it it says i do not own a base game of fallout new vegas

you have to own base game to enter a DLC giveaway, so i think i do have it

It actually is a region thing. If your version of F:NV is ROW, and the DLC you got is NA, you can't activate it, because you don't have the NA version, and it treats them as a different game. Stupid, yes, but that's how it is with this game.

Russian version has different internal steam-id.
Steam check game-id, not game name. So... DLCs from english (i mean worldwide in this case) and russian versions not compatible.
Sad story, bro.

In this keys you of course can give it away here, but you need to inform other people that this DLC compatible only with Russian version of FO:NV

Now that's just stupid, since all games that have a region specific form mean all forms of that game are region specifc, in this case the regions are, it seems, "Russia" and "everything other than Russia." I've seen other giveaways here that have regions to them too.

Yeah, and we suspend for them because it's in the rules and has been for months and months. We're working on something, but it's massively low priority compared to other stuff.
