I find it kind of weird for an RPG to be on early access and to provide access to the alpha with only part of the game. I feel like it would kind of ruin the RPG for me to see it in an unfinished light then have to go back and restart when the actual game comes out. Just my personal preference i guess..
Out of curiosity, how much was it for the kickstarters to receive the game?

You can check the pledges here.
Well, one could say the same about DayZ standalone and many other games that are released as Early Access that are in the early alpha stages. Nobody is really forcing anyone to buy the games when they are in Early Access. I don't mind restarting once the game is complete. I like seeing how games are developed, from beginning to end. :)

I'm not saying that they shouldn't do it or anything. Just saying that personally it feels a bit different with an RPG. And no, I wouldn't say the same about DayZ because it's a sandbox type game where you make your own gameplay. And with DayZ you're not going to be stuck at a cliffhanger. I guess I'm the type of person where if I'm playing an RPG I want to experience things with immersion the first time around.
And before people (not you in particular, Zharwyn) start dropping shit: yes, I'm aware I don't NEED to play the alpha, and no, I don't think everyone else shouldn't play it or something stupid like that. Just saying how it personally feels for me.

I understand what you mean. Although I felt this about the DayZ Early Access, because when it was released it didn't really have a lot of content worth the money you'd spend on it. I guess it's each to their own. My boyfriend bought DayZ and he's having a good time with it, sadly I doubt I would though.
I love Larian Studios and their game, so backing this was a no-brainer for me. I didn't even know I'd get any Early Access keys so that was just a pleasant surprise. :)

You aren't forced to play.
In some way, it's if you want to help to the development.

I bought a duo pack. Will check it out for a short time and really start playing it when it gets released.
I've been playing since Divine and its one of the best rpg's I played, ever. Beyond was meh. Never played Divinity 2 much.
And Dragon Commander was definately not the game I was waiting for. So I hope this one delivers. It surprised me the announcement this game was coming got my exctited as I really only enjoyed the 1st game. But this looks oldschool so I'm in.

The alpha is a bit too rough for me. I'll wait for full release on March. In fact, I don't see they can release it on March, there's too much to be done.

Finally! You can now start playing the early early alpha, and people who backed the game (over certain amounts) will get keys for it!
Go get your keys! Clicky! I got the duo pack in the Kickstarter campaign, and received two keys. :D
