People often giveaway games that are on sale and so there's a lot of the same games that are put up. If there's a game I really want I'll enter for that game in multiple giveaways at the same time (don't misunderstand, it's all on this one account). So... what happens if you ever win the same game in two different giveaways?

Haven't ever had this happen to me but just came to my mind as I was browsing today.

You accept one of them, decline the other and explain to the gifter that he needs to contact support and reroll the gift.

Ah, a nice, fast, and concise answer! Thank you very much :)

That, or you secretly redeem one game and trade the other, then get banned from SG and spend the next few months claiming it was your brother that did it.

The winner of my very first giveaway here actually won another copy of the same game almost at the same time. But that wasn't cheating, just some crazy luck, so I sent the gift to him making sure he didn't have the game on his account yet and watching him activate it. Also that guy was very happy and created a giveaway of a different game right away. Maybe the other gifter didn't bother checking the gift activation, but I think it all comes down to the winner's conscience to accept another copy or not, 'cause theoretically he followed all the rules. -shrug-

First of all, this has a very low chance of it happening unless you are part of lots of groups and have access to lots of private giveaways. If you DO happen to win the same game twice, I have no idea. It's against the rules to give away games you win, but you can't do anything with them. So I really don't know. :P

you get reamed here and called a total douche for not removing the entry from the 2nd giveaway after winning the first

While it would be a rare occurrence.. Someone could be AFK while the two giveaways ended and might not have the chance to remove the entry in time.

true enough but it wouldn't matter - there'd be plenty saying it's irresponsible to enter two for the same that end too close together and not be there to check the first one.

I'm not taking a side, it doesn't bother me in the least but there would be some outrage for sure

Let the giveaway creator know, so he can ask for a reroll.

Rinarin's answer seems to be the best. I agree that this is very unlikely to happen in general, but it's something I wondered about, too. It's also why I try not to enter giveaways for the same game if they're ending at close to the same time. If there's at least a few hours between them, I should be able to check and remove future entries if I win an earlier one. That's basically how I try to avoid the problem.

If this happens to me is there any chance I can re-gift it to a friend? or must I give it back to be re-rolled?

I think the common practice here is to only win gifts for yourself.

Never said I was here to win gifts for other people. And that didn't answer my question.

Is it OK for me to gift a game to a friend if I won two of the same games at the same time?

No, you would get banned.
