Do you prefer the old games, or the new ones?

Explain why!

OLD ONES, NEW ONES ARE JUST COPIES OF the OLD ONES.

I prefer mostly recent games because I think technical possibilities allow more.

Because game over, that's why !

Man, that's such a broad question, haha. Especially considering classic game styles like top down RPGs are still being made to this day.

It really depends. I don't enjoy ALL games or ALL new games, I do however enjoy certain games from both categories. I sometimes find it entertaining to play an old school game, such as Super Mario Brothers, other times I'd rather play some newer games. Well, to be honest my current laptop doesn't run "new" games, but seeing that games like Crysis (1-3) can be developed shows how big of a leap technology has taken in the recent years.

I prefer old games, but I think a lot of it is nostalgia (and knowing exactly what to do throughout every stage of the game).

Both.

The age doesn't matter. As long as they are satisfying.

As long as the games are good(which in my case is "nearly every game in existence"), I don't care. :P

This, except I'm probably slightly more fussy.

Some New ones, but mostly oldgame's. The early-Mid 2000's had some of the good games that I enjoyed the most :)

Mostly I like good old school RPG like Suikoden and Final Fantasy, strategy games like Red Alert(OLD ONES, NOT BY FKING EA), but there are some new games like Portal(1,2), Quantum Conundrum, and many more that I find really amusing!

Doesn't matter, I like the game if it is good.

I will always adore Old-School games more then New-School, leave all casuals with their health regenerator BS.

How old is 'old' and how new is 'new'? If 'old' as in PlayStation 1/2 games and older, for sentimental reasons I prefer the old ones for sure. I grew up playing those games :)

Some new, some old. I don't understand why someone would think you could choose one if you've actually played both. Super Meat Boy or Super Mario Bros 3? Hard to decide.

Does it matter if old or new, the spam either generates is still spam, is it not?
