While you're accurate to community sentiments on the first part, there's absolutely no obligation to use existing key drop threads, especially given how heavily covered in bots and exploitative users they are.

Appreciate the key drop, but it's just simply in the wrong place, sorry.

If everybody created new threads for their free keys the place would be a mess, especially the deals section where bundles and large scale free giveaways are posted. For example when I saw the thread I thought, cool a free giveaway on some site for a Watch Dogs Uplay code.... then nope, just one random key drop.

Cool, i don't care. So i won't give any other Uplay keys because some deadmarsh is complaining. I will keep it for myself and let it expire.
It's the second time i gave some uplay keys and again someone is crying.
Free game is a free game, does not matter if on Steam Uplay or Origin.

I think you are misunderstanding something here or intentionally misunderstanding my posts.
I never said it's not ok to giveaway keys for Uplay, Origin etc.

My point was that this thread is in the wrong category and as a result is misleading. This is not a "Deal", but a random key drop of a single key which belongs in dedicated threads for those or as a thread in "General".

I don't want to fuel the controversy, but I think deadmarsh's point is right. I expected myself to find a promotional giveaway by Uplay.
