I don't have any real friends who would notice or cate if I died, just my mo and she doesn't use Facebook.

I doubt it, I've left for weeks without people noticing.

It's pretty noticeable when you take a break, what with the sudden drop in "shitposts" and giveaways of awkward steam films. :P
That's not me poking fun at you, it's actually why I notice when you're gone :X
Then again, if my polls are any indication, roughly 25% of SG users are too busy being fixated on root vegetables to pay any attention to anything else. :/

I always remember your ID because it makes me think of a B-tree. :-)

I kind of wish I never used it... it's been more of a bone of contention than any kind of method of bringing people together - at least for me. But finding a post that eulogized one of my childhood friends who had died unexpectedly got me wondering if that is all we leave behind. Curiouser and curiouser....

If i did still use FB, I'd want somthing like these:
-"Should have cut the blue wire."
-"He took no prisoners, only trophies."
-"Two for one every wednesday on "In memory of Dibbeh" T-Shirts and other assorted merchandise."
EDIT
I'm dead serious about these.

I'm not much of a Facebook user, mostly have it because I have to update some pages related to work and am trying to avoid some idiot stealing my name and pretending to be me, so if I die out of sudden it would probably stay the same and no one could post anything because my timeline is locked.

I bet your cat would miss you, then eat you, just because of love ofc.

I don't have Facebook so that solves that issue :D
But overall I think it depends on how actively you used FB, if you were on there all the time and have a lot of relationships through it I can see it as a good place to post an eulogy, but if it's just something you sometimes posted on on the side I don't think it would matter.
It's like, if you were a really well-known member of a gaming community and had important friends there, I think it would be right to inform them of your passing.

I wouldn't want people to be sad when I die. I would disinherit anyone who would be sad because of my death. I would like to see something like:
"I'm dead, but you should be happy, because you're still alive. I died, but I'm not sad and I never was, so no reason for you to be sad because of my death"!
I'll even demand that everyone in my funeral will listen to rock and start dancing above my grave. Oh God, it will be so awesome. :D

So yeah, lately I've been seeing more FB pages being used as erst-while eulogies to their "previously alive" owners. What's up with that? Do we live on in our internet lives forever? And if so, what do you suppose your "eulogy" is going to be? Thoughts, comments, questions?
If this is too deep for you then please just ignore it :-p
A GA may follow or not - mostly just curious about what others think.
