Does anyone use a Steam Link with a lower end PC?

I have an i3 540 and a 750TI, not looking to play anything graphic intensive, mainly just a couple couch co-op titles like Castle Crashers and stuff. Running an HDMI cable is out of the question so I'm considering this.

I don't know about Steam Link but if you want a really smooth streaming experience I can recommend you moonlight. I tested it in my PC (i5, gtx750Ti) streaming games to my android phone over wifi at 720p 60fps and it worked flawlessly, and it apparently works with pretty much anything as long as you have a compatible gtx.

Is there any noticeable delay?

This depends on the game and how sensitive you are but I'd say yes for most games and people.

I can't really tell, I was sitting like 2 meters away from the PC (the router is on the desk) so I don't know if it's usable at longer distances. Also I only used it for a few minutes and then gave up because controlling any game with a touchscreen was a pain and I was doing it just out of curiousity. What I can say for sure is that it worked far better than my experience with steam streaming from my desktop PC to a netbook, that either had an insane delay even with the thing sitting right next to the antena or suffered from some serious artifacting.

I love my steamlink, but I can't really say I have a low-end PC. I can say however that what seems to have the largest effect on quality for me is network setup. Unless you can run a network cable to the device I would say it's not gonna work well enough. Some people have success with 802.11ac wireless so you might be able to live with that, but if the steamlink would be more than a few meters from the router or you only have 802.11n you'd probably not like the experience.

So keep that in mind when you consider your options!

Pretty much the same for me. I mostly use it with a box running an AMD 990FX and a decent Radeon card from 5-6 years ago (sorry not home and don't remember the model off the top of my head). I have the house hard wired with cat 6 and am using gigabit lan.

I have also seen that settings and the specific game can have a huge impact on steamlink display. For instance, if you get a bunch if blocky green artifacts then try looking online. I seem to recall there being a youtube video that shared what settings will correct that... will try to update with it later if no one beats me to it.

I'm using mine with i3-4130/GTX660 and it runs fine, however wired connection is a must.
