Did Fanatical fall into the retro pit of games, or how come that they release a second retro bundle in a matter of days?
I have no interest in playing any of these games, so I could find a better use for the dollar. Why would I want a bunch of junk I am not interested in cluttering up my game library? Also, it is just a dollar now, but if you keep making decisions that way, the dollars start adding up quick and you realize that you threw away 10 or 20 dollars that you could have used to buy a good game and instead got a bunch of junk that you aren't interested in.
If you are actually interested in the games, then yes, it's just a dollar and it may be a good deal.

i got my son to buy me two copies one because i like older retro games from back when i was younger (although i don't remember these) and one because i need to restock for my 3rd annual Christmas community train as i used a lot of my games on last months one and don't have much left

8 games for 1 dollar I will take any day of the week

All of these were included in the old 3D Realms Anthology: Steam Edition that used to be available on Steam before Duke Nukem was sold off to Gearbox, so make sure you don't already own them. :)

I was wondering when exactly I bought these games, and since I own all of the ones on that list, that's probably where they came from. Mystery solved thanks to you! :)

IIRC, the actual space taken up by any of these games ends up being well over a GB, maybe 2. I think it includes some kind of emulation software that takes up all of the space. Just pointing that out for anyone who was thinking about buying them and then installing on a rig made for retro gaming, or thinking about buying them to play on a Steam Deck with limited space available.
Back in the day I really liked Wacky Wheels, as well as Hocus Pocus and Realms of Chaos, but the install size is definitely bloated and if you are being thrifty with your hard drive space these games might end up not being worth it and you might be better off looking for versions that will run out of a DOS-box or on an older OS.
Again, I could be wrong, but that's what I remember the last time I installed Hocus Pocus, having to remove it over concerns about the amount of space the game took up.

Apparently that's because all of these older games had the 3D Realms Anthology Soundtrack added to them.
Old 3D Realms Anthology owners, like me, did not get it added in the same way. We actually got a separate depot added to a single game, Alien Carnage / Halloween Harry.
