I know what you mean, unfortunately... It's impossible not to look at this world and see so many problems. I don't envy people who can just ignore it all and live their lives not worrying about what is happening elsewhere in the world. I can't do it and it sucks. I wish I knew the solution; maybe just helping where you can lightens the load but unfortunately I don't practice what I preach... It's called escapism for a reason...

So move bro, perhaps the change of scenery would also give you a brighter outlook on life. Ive been miserable for ages, still not particularly happy, but I'm going to Arizona next month and its at least given me something to look forward too.

It can get a lot worse. The ruling party and the newest opposition party like to use people with my skin color as scapegoats. Moving isn't as easy as you think. You need money and certain qualifications to get into most countries. A lot of countries have so many South Africans already that they don't want more. Do you know how it is to live in fear in your own home. I have a security system and 24hr armed response and yet I don't feel at ease. All around me instances of violent crimes happen. Think burglary with rape, torture and murder.

If trump has taught me anything, its that you can get into my country pretty easy.. i joke. sorry. I dunno man, Ive suggested it before to you I think. Arm yourself. Once the neighborhood knows you might shoot back, they tend to leave you alone. Im speaking from actual experience on that one.

Military grade weapons aren't sold to civilians in SA. It is strictly forbidden (you'll need a special license to own that, plus you are limited to how many guns you can own if you have a normal weapon license). Just owning it will land me in jail.

Most of the world don't allow citizens the same freedom where guns are concerned. Toting a weapon and threatening people with it will get you arrested here.

I wish there was advice that would fix all your problems. Try not to make your departure permanent. There are a lot of good people and a lot of them are on SG. We love having you around and SG can be a great distraction, even if its for a second. No matter what you are going through, we are always willing to listen, and most people care about you way more then the gibs.

I'll be taking a break from SG and Steam for a while, although it might be permanent. I feel as if I don't fit in anywhere in this miserable world we inhabit. I can't ignore what goes on in this world and not being able to do anything about it is slowly killing me. I know I will get some advice about just going on and existing for myself, but I can't do that. It is like sticking your head in the sand and pretending everything is fine.
