Actually, no. There exists a mystical service called "Google". There are plenty of achievement guides and most of the achievements are easy, one-time events. The only ones that actually take any time are the Flappy Goat and collecting all 30 trophies one. The Flappy Goat achievement only earns .10, so it isn't worth it unless you want 100%, and the 30 trophies only take ~15-30 minutes with a guide.
Please do not assume someone is cheating without even owning the game.

How to get Goat Sim for free:
Comment has been collapsed.
It's a bit too late to start doing this. Only 2 days left till Goat sim rewards expire, subtract few hours it takes for Playfire to sync with Steam to recognize the achievements, 12-24 hours more for them to add it to your rewards list and you might have less than a day left to achieve your goal, which is more stressful than relaxing for a game like this, assuming you're going to unlock all achievements legitimately.

Damn Playfire doesn't like Mac.......why can't I just attach my steam account and they track it that way? -__-
Comment has been collapsed.
running their desktop app makes it sync better and quicker for most ppl
Comment has been collapsed.
ive never had issues either as i run the app too. anytime i see someone on the playfire community saying they are having issues the first thing they are asked and told to do is run the desktop app.

I got it on April first when they had that other promotion where you didn't need to get about $10 to get a discount. I got 22% off for a total of 7.80 for the game. I have, since then, gotten most of the achievements and sold a Goat Simulator Foil card for around .88 :D

I don't get the "Play X for first time"....does it mean do I have to play it once DURING the rewards or first time ever? Like Fez, I have played it before for 10 mins a long time ago, does that count as "first time"?
Comment has been collapsed.
First time at all.
Even if you only have 1 minute registered of game time.
Comment has been collapsed.
you have to play it for the first time during the time period they set for that reward. so if i have a game that ive owned for a year but never played and then they add it to playfire for a week long reward window and i play it during that time it counts but if ive ever played the game thru steam on that account then they see that since it syncs all time activity and gametime per game and it will not count. only exception to this may be a game u had on steam before they started tracking time played, if u havent ever played it since they started tracking then playfire may thing you have never played it

Heh, pretty much this. I can't buy it, thus I can't earn Playfire achievements.

I ever used PlayFire, I will search information to know what is it... thanks for the info.

Its a good time. Not everything has to fit in with you idea of a game. Time wasted but enjoyed was not wasted.
Some people enjoy killing Nazi's by shooting them in the face, others enjoy building star bases and saving the galaxy from the Zerg pest, still others enjoy a romping good sandbox where you play a goat.

1- Playfire rewards barely work, even though it has been in "BETA" for over 3 months. Have many achievements earned that never registered and therefore never gave me credit. Not worth the pennies to play games that they tell me to, and further more not worth the hassle of attempting to pry the small amount of pocket change I am entitled to from their lousy support system.
2- Goat Simulator looks like a lousy game.
3- There's this thing that many folks are familiar with called "having a job". I make $12 an hour and within 1 hour of working can afford 1 1/2 goat simulators (not that I would actually buy that game). The benefit of this is that I can buy any game I want and play it any time I want. Fascinating system if you ask me!
I would recommend to those with a rational thought process to avoid the whole Playfire rewards. Until of course they fix the issues plaguing it and create a workable reward system without the necessity of badgering your entitled rewards from their lousy support system. You will save time in the end and as we all know, TIME IS MONEY...
Comment has been collapsed.
I think you miss the point of being "payed" to play. La de da, you have a job that pays x an hour. You must never do anything but work. Surly you wouldnt be a member of the steam community or of steamgifts as that is clearly a waste of time that you are not paid for right? You clearly dont play any games right? /s
Comment has been collapsed.
Well seeing as how I work 12 hours a day, my time is valuable... To me at least.
That means that when I do get around to playing video games, I'd much rather spend it playing a game that appeals to me and not the one that Playfire dictates to earn a fraction of what my job pays in the same amount of time.
Simple mathematical calculations will exemplify my point further. As it has been stated, it probably take more than an hour to earn all of the achievements to yield the $8 reward for playing this lousy looking game. I can think of many ways to earn more than $8 in an hour or less, besides the job that I already have.
Furthermore, I have given much more than received both here on Steamgifts and elsewhere in regards to the giveaways I have created and the nothing that I have won. Unlike many, it prides me to be able to work and earn allowing me to give and share.

But sometimes the game is so bad / uninteresting / boring the reward is not worth it.
Dropped The Ball around mid point at the 2nd map, and FEZ after a 1/3 of the game.
Comment has been collapsed.
That goes without saying :p
It is a good way to force me digging in the backlog in any case.
Comment has been collapsed.
And how many hours did it take you to earn those rewards?
If you honestly sat down and made the calculation I believe you would be vastly disappointed with how much Playfire is paying you to boost their stats...
Comment has been collapsed.
LOL, yeah it took you 0 hours to earn over a hundred dollars on Playfire...
Your Steam profile suggests otherwise...
Pointless having a discussion with a dishonest person. Perhaps one day you will have the courage to be honest with yourself.
Comment has been collapsed.
well, technically I did 0 hours. If you want an exact time in hours to get those credits, ask my other clones that is playing my backlog.
I have 4 others clones that is recording match history and playing salty bet, farming heroic items in dota 2, and parsing dota 2 matches for statistical purposes.

Props to you then!
I don't fully understand the whole system you explain. I do know a fair bit about computers and entry level programming, however never invested the time to become proficient at it. The programming part that is.
Surely there is profit to be made through Playfire and Steam games utilising computer programming methods.
However, I still stand by the belief that there are much more profitable / productive means than farming virtual video game items or GMG / Playfire credits.
To each their own!
Comment has been collapsed.
You're just missing the bigger picture here. Forget about your time being valuable.
The point here is playfire is giving you an option to rebate some of the "money" you paid for those games by getting those achievements. Steam is trying to do it with cards, but it is much less profitable. It is funny that you are trying compare playfire to your minimum wage job. It is not meant to be a substitute for a real job. By comparing playfire with a real job, you are giving the stereotype that gamers are bums, just sit in front of their computers and doesn't have jobs.
They are offering those credits to people to entice gamers to buy those games in GMG and play them, and to also encourage people who has it on their backlog to actually play it. Those games that they are giving credits matches the sale/new releases in GMG.
Comment has been collapsed.
It's not exactly a rebate if you HAVE to spend it on GMG towards more video games. That's more like a coupon to me. So now I must EARN my coupon. Yeah, think I'll pass!
Don't know what country you actually live in, but where I am minimum wage is $10.50 per hour. I am proud to say that I work hard and earn every penny of my $12 per hour. Oh yeah, by serving the REAL LIFE community. If I wanted to move out to Alberta, could easily be making over $18 per hour for the exact same work that I do.
My time is valuable. I make 1.5 times more in one day then you did collecting all your pennies on Playfire over this entire time!
Good luck panhandling on Playfire for pennies, excuse me while I cash my $600+ paycheque (after taxes) and spend it on anything I'd like anytime I'd like.
Comment has been collapsed.
It is still rebate since the definition of rebate is vague anyways. Anything below 13$ here in alberta I consider minimum wage. IIRC, 25$/hr is the average wage here in alberta.
It's really funny when you're bragging your job when other people are getting paid just be studying. You just dodged my point again by comparing a real job to playfire.
I guess you didn't learn much with reading comprehension and logic, I just said "Forget about your time being valuable" and think about it in a bigger picture. But you replied back with having your job. Guess that's the reason you're stuck in minimum wage
Comment has been collapsed.
What point did I dodge?
That your time is not valuable?
Well I feel that my time is valuable...
Yeah a loaf of bread costs $5, a salad costs $17, and a house costs like $4000 to rent per month in Alberta. Your wages may be higher out there, but so is the cost of living. It's something called relativity.
Have fun collecting virtual TF2 hats and GMG credits while I take my hard earned REAL cash to travel the world and make real life experiences!
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm in alberta dufus. See, you can't even answer your own first question. Proof that you lack reading comprehension and poor logic.
Also people who are disclosing their income in the internet especially a minimum wage income have very low self esteem and have a need to prove worth.
Comment has been collapsed.
You are in Alberta and collecting virtual pennies?
Why don't you just get a real job? I hear you can make an average of $25 an hour out there. That's equivalent to $100 GMG credits in 4 hours of ACTUAL work!

I've tried at various times to get the playfire rewards, and I still have not received any credit for them. Hell, I don't think I've even received credit for linking my steam account with playfire. I only got the credit for the newsletter.

Well if Playfire works so flawlessly, then why is it still in BETA phase? Also, why is there no plan / timeline on when it will be out of BETA phase?
In the recent rewards for Batman: Arkham City, I completed 5 of the rewards offered. 3 of them registered fine with no hassle on April 7th, and that all happened within 24 hours of me originally acquiring them. The last 2 that I achieved showed up on Playfire on the 9th. It has been 3 days since then AND them showing up on my Playfire stats page. However, nothing was rewarded for the last 2. Is it really worth the 35 cents to now go back and forth on the feedback page / support ticket system?
I have gone through their support ticket system and it took WEEKS going back and forth with an automated bot asking the same questions over and over again. Until I gave up and never received the rewards I was entitled to.
I am happy that you have never had any issues, however there is a rewards feedback discussion that is 61 pages long with many users displaying their frustration with this broken system.
As well, there are other reward systems that are proven to work.
Batman: Arkham City is a game I've been meaning to play anyways as it got really good reviews and turned out to be an enjoyable time. So that is cool, and enough of a reward for me. It just seems rather pointless to rely on a broken system such as Playfire to re-acquire the funds "invested" in a prior purchase.
In my personal opinion, I'd rather just ignore the entire broken system until they have something competent of achieving the things they state it to.
Comment has been collapsed.
Would you mind me asking which other reward systems have been proven to work? If you provide alternatives, people will be much more willing to listen.
It has its obvious flaws, it doesn't work flawlessly, it's still in development. Playfire should have worked on it more before starting it.
Also, if you enjoyed playing Arkham City and enjoyed getting those achievements, then those small rewards are just a bonus. It shouldn't have taken that long to quickly check which achievements give rewards. Playfire isn't something to be relied upon, it's just something that's nice for gamers. If someone wants to be wholly sustained by games, he should become a streamer or a Youtube personality.

AMD has their Raptr app that tracks and rewards flawlessly.
I have used it, tested it and proven it to work. However, do not use it anymore cause it just seems to take too long to build up points.
While I don't waste too much time delving into the whole scene, it has come to my attention that Playfire and Raptr have some sort of history together.
I'm sure it's not exactly easy to develop and integrate this entire system, but there are others who do the tracking flawlessly and more efficiently. While the whole Playfire rewards seems like a great program in theory it still has too many flaws in my opinion to be viable. But others share a different opinion and I truly do wish everyone the best in their endeavors. It's just not for me.
Comment has been collapsed.
I've tried raptr before, but it just takes too long. People are more attracted to playfire because of the higher payout.
I don't know why playfire is so hard to create either, to be frank. It may be due to anti-cheat measures. There are plenty of people for whom it works and note that many complaints are simply a result of impatient people new to the system. I do realize there are a lot of bugs, though.

Playing Goat Sim, and getting all the achievements that are rewarded by playfire will give you 8.12 usd.
Selling the cards will give you roughly .60 usd.
If you buy goat sim on gmg's site add a BL2 DLC which is 99 cents to the purchase. It will allow you to use the 20% off coupon, and get goat sim + the dlc for 8.80. The DLC will give you 10 cents in gmg credit also.
Image
The final tally is 8.12+.60+10. Which is a grand total of 8.82. So you will end up with 2 extra cents. Works as long as card prices stay steady.
