"soon" will take a while. Not everyone has a gaming pc, and it still has a strong community.

Just wait for KF2, see the price tag, how well it runs and how good it is overall. Then we'll see if KF will die. CS 1.6 isn't dead yet. Just saying.

Nope. It'll be like CS 1.6. People will like some mechanics better and it runs on low end machines. KF is going to last for at least a few more decades until the lowest end machine can run KF2.

It's kinda vague to compare KF to CS 1.6, but the point stands, KF 2 has to be good for the first one not to die, but left for the follow-up by the majority of the players.

I think there is a high chance tho that KF 2 will be good, I like KF alot but gotta admit, it's not very complicated (part of the charm), so it's not that hard to give it new features. What I really miss from the game now is a decent group finder tool, it can be a real pain sometimes to find peeps who are around your level and are not at the final waves.

I still want to finish some maps on HoE difficulty though ;w;

During the new event announcements on the KF page, it states that "All event achievements have been turned on permanently "
And then it proceeds to list all the events(Summer, Hillbilly, Twisted). So finally,no more waiting then?

*Edit:Yes! It works. I killed the Patriarch on a Santa map and got all 3 achievements for it. (Summer,Hillbilly and Christmas)

I'm ok with it. I only ever really played it SP anyway. SO if they allow all the events to be played I can go back and do all that and "finish" the game.

Nah, I expect it to have plenty of people. I only play it during events to get chhevos but it's a fun game to play when you are bored.

Who gives a fuck about KF when you have KF2?

Nah. There will be people who wont like KF2 as much as the original and just wont play it. Payday 1 still has people playing, there's no reason KF will die when the second one comes out.

Just because a new game comes out, the previous one is still around & people will still play it for whatever reason.

I thought it already died. Sometimes you can't even find a single HoE server. If you manage to find one you usually know almost everyone because so few people play it.
