Capys look like Zen Masters in a fur coat.
Hard not to love them.
My favorite would be raccoons mostly because they are very fun and unfairly called trash pandas and chased away where I grew up.
Dogs are just furry angels so they are on another plane entirely.

I love how unbothered capybaras are and how they get along with everyone. My favourite animal's are cats but also racoons! I find those little trash pandas so endearing but it might be because we don't have them here in Australia. :(

You definitely should!! Road tripping is the best way to experience Australia. I did a mini one with friends, years ago and I've always wanted to do another one but life just moves too fast sometimes! :')

Actually, I like most of them — capybaras included, of course. And I've owned quite a variety of them: several cats, a rat, different hamsters, a couple of pale gerbils (those must the cutest creatures on Earth), a whole colony of spiny mice and a pond slider, also rescues or attempted to rescue some wild birds (the most exotic one probably being a curlew, found literally in the middle of a city and successfully moved to an area where they actually lived). But no dogs for me, they are mostly awesome, but I wouldn't be able to walk them regularly.
My current favorite gal is this one, she's tiny (only 2.5 kg) and incredibly silly, but what can I say, she makes me smile :)
