I passed the check, but I don't have 40hours in a RTS (I prefer TBS games myself) or Space strategy game.

But here is a bump for you anyhow!:)

Yeah, RTS strikes me as a really weird association for FTL, given the pretty significant dissimilarity between the genre and FTL's gameplay. Other'n rouge-likes, RTWP and space sim woulda been the two genres I'd have personally used for gauging interest in the game.

I think the main game that I have played that would fall into that category would be Dungeons of Dredmor, and I've played 39 hours in it. I really enjoyed it, especially the humourous slant it took.:)

It does look like an excellent game. It is one I would play for sure. It's really tough though, isn't it?

Well, it is a rogue-lite

But this game isn't about winning as much as it is about playing. Its about the journey, not the destination

Yes, you'll lose, over and over and over again. But it'll be different each time, and it'll be fun each time
Best description I've heard of it is that it's a "star trek episode generator"

L-O-V-E strategy games (look at most of the games I've purchased) sadly I don't think I had steam for most hours that I've accumulated so not sure if I quite make the 40 hour mark.

In fact I've only recently started building a steam library in the last two years or so. Prior to that I just used whatever platform was available to me.
I'm not too into Point&Clicks so I didn't enter your Space Quest Collection, but if you end up needing a fifth let me know and I'll join and we can ride off into the sunset!

Just a comment and a friendly bump.

FTL is one of my favorite strategy games (which says a lot as I love both RTS and TBS). I highly recommend it.

I just wanted to say I have a ton of hours in lots of strategy games. 322 in Endless Space, 264 in Endless Legend, 156 (and totally ongoing) with Eador Genesis. Plus way more offline and on console and other games not tracked by Steam and others not listed.

Strangely, I am not that terribly good at strategy games though.

I passed the test too.
Does Elite count as space strategy game? I bet it does, so I have 300+ hours on it. Actually way more, but playing without steam.

I already have 57 hours in FTL. I was actually thinking about it last night, how there were a couple of ships/layouts I had not unlocked, and I was thinking of playing it again.
