Looking for a private group, any tips??

With most private groups, people will invite you if they like you.
Others will post on the forum with rules to apply for the group.
Also there are some groups for those that have 0 wins or are statistically unlucky.

Basically, you cant just "find" them. As they are private you need to be invited, and to be invited you have to fulfill their entry criteria.

You just have to be friendly and active. Chat with different members, then make some friends. Perhaps if you're personable enough, then you'll get invited.

most importantly! don't make "looking for group" threads... oh, wait... :D

You can create a group with the rules you want, create a nice giveaway for that group and invite people. Done. But I don't guarantee that it will succeed in the long run XD

Depends on what you're looking for.

If by "groups are really where its at" you mean "groups are where people really DO stuff like chat and game together", try hanging out a bit in the forums, get to know some of the more known / old time members, see where they hang out and join group chats, hang out some, game some, get to know people, etc. You can also see a good group on my profile where people do chat and game together, and we have our own weekly stream, too.

If you rather mean "groups are where the better giveaways with lower entry counts occur", try searching the forum for "invite" or "recruiting". There's lots of giveaway-focussed groups around, such as 1:1 groups where if you win something, you must give something away.
