So, I have given out some gifts. When I was creating them I see a minimum of 5 points for each gifts which happens on my latest spree. After the gifts are ended the stats show that one of the gifts has No Value. I am considering giving away some No Value games however since I am new, I wanted to build some levels up.

Is there anyway to check that, I had missed which game was the No Valued?

Thanks and Cheers~

If you create a giveaway it shows these *
If it has one it is reduced value. if it has 2 no value.

Yes, I noticed that. However, I missed this one. I guess that the problem of creating multiple gifts at once. I assumed that if there is points assigned to gifts they will have a reduced value as I have seen 0P gifts. I am learning about it :D

0P means Steam is reporting $0 retail for them. This can be because the game is new to Steam (or has not yet been released for sale at all), because it's permanently free, because it's temporarily free, or because it's misconfigured in some way. SG itself doesn't ever change P values manually, other than when manually setting last-recorded-retail for permanently-removed games.

That is very informative and that made me thought about a situation which I will relate in the thread after this. The value I had defined here is the Value of the gift for giving away rather than the Value of the gift on Steam. Thank you for the information.

I am going to Side-Track a little. I am new here, is there anyway to check each individual message as Read rather than the "Mark as read" button on the left? If there are multiple replies, I may have an issue remembering/keep track of which I had replied if I marked everything as read at once.

I did not want to create another topic just for the question. I appreciate future replies and Thank you, Cheers~

I don't think you can do that.

In ESGST script there's an option allowing marking any discussion comments as read/unread separately.

Browser extension hmm, thank you for the recommendation. I will just take notes if there's a lot replies not looking into installing extenstions. :)

I normally don't like browser extensions, but ESGST is really useful sometimes.
I'd recommend.

It certainly looks extensive. I'll keep it in mind. If I find beyond the time I could not manage. Since I am new, just looking ways to navigate around. Thanks to @Pietruszek and @Southrobin for the recommendation once again. Cheers~

Can you point me to which option I would select for this? Thanks!

ESGST has a search bar for features on top of the popup so if you can't find the feature you know exists, try using that. In this case it's feature 2.32 (One-Click Hide Giveaway Button) :)

Yeah, I tried searching before posting, but couldn't find the option. In fact, I must have misunderstood your post, since I already have the 'one-click hide giveaway' option enabled. I thought you meant there was a way to mark an individual message as read, rather than the 'mark as read' button that applies to all messages.

Oh, I'm sorry...
Yesterday I've posted two comments regarding ESGST features and I thought that the question is being asked under the other one (which regarded one-click hide of giveaways) xD

The thing I use for marking individual comments as read is feature 4.6 (Comment Tracker) :)

I gave it a shot, and it seemed like it marked the message read, but I still have an indication at the top that I have an unread message. I'll play around w/ the settings and try it some more. Thanks for the info.

Yup, it's a completely separate system you can use throughout the whole forum. I usually press the standard Steamgifts "Mark as read" button if I want to disable the notification, but use the ESGST feature to keep track of comments I've actually taken care of.

We've been asking for that, along with other features, for a long time now. Don't hold your breath.

Most of SG's functionality is handled through outside scripts. I'm not at all a fan of ESGST, myself, but thankfully there's such a wide variety of scripts available that you're bound to find the combination that bests suits your tastes and needs.

I try not to have extensions as I have to keep track of them. In this case, its a hassle but if I can still work around it I'll keep going until need of using a script finally arises. Thank you for the reply

Back to Topic, so the game "Dreamscapes: Nightmare's Heir - Premium Edition' Reflected on my gifted list is 7P. Does anyone know why is there points when it is a non-valued game? Curious about it. Cheers~

read faq!

What are points (P)?
Points are used for entering giveaways. The number of points required to enter a giveaway is based on the list price of the corresponding Steam game in the US region. If the price of the game exceeds $50.00, the giveaway will be capped at 50 points.

What I was confused on is Why does games with No Value in Gifts are given Points. I saw games with 0P which I thought was an indication for No Value games, which is logical.

Ok, based on your reply. I am able to clear my confusion. Games are given Points just by the basis of their value on Steam. I looked into the 1st game on my list that is 0P and it seems it was removed from steam thus 0P. Thus Points does not reflect the value of the gift on SG but the value on Steam. hmm~

Btw, I did read the faq 1st before I made my 1st gift. Its just too many info to digest at once and its a different and better system than one I had encountered before. Cheers~

Even the game was giving away 4free it have a price. With your logic you must, as example, if you get a car from your friend for free you are not aloowed to sell it, you must giving it 4free.

I saw games with 0P

0P are games which are not released yet or some not listed on steam.

too many info to digest at once

Not really. Most in the FAQ are garbage no one need.

It's poorly written in places, to be sure, but it's definitely worth browsing through. If you've got questions, the community is usually willing to help out, though putting in a support ticket is a good way to get official clarification on more nuanced matters.

There's alot of info in the FAQ, I did skim it through and read on parts like the giveaway points system. I tried to understand system before deciding to post.and I knew this site has been around for awhile, I just did not participate. Thus I believe it would be better to ask the community than just go on my baseless assumptions. Thank you for your suggestion and kind words~

The point value is something which is read out from the Steam Store (based on America). As such it will always show the store price in America as entry cost. 0P giveaways in that context just means that the game is not in the store anymore (which is read out as 0).

The * and ** on the other hand are added manually by the Steamgifts Support and are therefore the one you have to look at.

What probably got me confused was Dungeons 2. I got Dungeons 2 on a giveaway when I did not know it was free on humble at that time, else I would not have entered. I currently hold a D2 key from a bundle. D2 is not a bad game and is from a reputable dev Kalypso.

Its value is 18.50 my local price, however it has no contribution value as it was given away too often. I consider D2 should have a reduced value rather than no value. Perhaps its just me. Therefore, the Value I consider differs from the Value that is in place. Cheers~
