Too flashy colours for my taste and menus were awful, I don't think I bothered to play for more than few minutes. There's something with that kind of games and menus, launched Ring Runner recently and dear fucking gods, why menus can't be just menus?

I checked Steam store in hope I can buy it, but it wasn't there :(

The good news is that the guys that made Neverhood have a game on Greenlight. Same similar play style. So, hopefully we can get that game next year for winter sale.

I do want this game but I am waiting for it to be discounted

The Haunted: Hell's Reach. It is a lot of noticeable flaws, but it is on sale often enough and is worth a buy if you need a break from games like Killing Floor. :)
Psychonauts wasn't really a hidden gem in its day, but it has been forgotten enough that it doesn't get the love it deserve which causes newer gamers to miss out on it. If you do not have it for consoles, get it on PC at least. It has been bundles before (to my knowledge, it must have been since I have it in Steam library).
Wargame is a good RTS with a horrible learning curve, you gotta be patient with this one. It was also bundled but I bet a lot of people here let it gather dust in their library like I unfortunately did until a friend told me how wonderful it was. Now it is one of my favorites, or the sequel is anyways.
I know I made a bad list, but it would have helped me before awhile back before I discovered these obscure things so I figured why not make it for someone else.

Skydrift! It's a fantasic (plane) racing game. Graphics and gameplay are excellent. Could use a more active multiplayer, though.
Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack! Lovely, charming 2D platformer, a crossover between Gish and Katamari, with excellent music and plenty of indie game references in the backgrounds. It's by Drinkbox Studios, which later made Guacamelee (also great!)
Dungeons of Dredmor. Stylish, humorous dungeon crawler. Hard, but satisfying. Permadeath optional, but encouraged.
Lastly, I'll go with the Deathspank series. Sort of RPG-Adventure with lots of witty dialogue. I've greatly enjoyed all 3 games.

+1 for Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack. One of the best indie games I've ever played. Extremely fun.

Not sure if it's a lesser known game, but definitely a gem in my book. "Urban Chaos". Fantastic Eidos game that was on the Playstaion back in 1999. I wish they would remake this or make an Urban Chaos 2. Urban Chaos It was on sale on Steam a while back.

+1 a pitty it's not on square-gmg sale. Another eidos gem, Anachronox a kind of FFVII eidos style. Please watch videos before getting a wrong idea of the game.
EDIT, oh it's mentioned below.

I'd probably like that. Eidos, Square two good games companies. They know what they're doing.

Anachronox. Western-made Jrpg. Publisher completely failed to market it when originally released, and again with the steam re-release a little while back.

Wonderful game. Unique turn based combat system where your characters can combine their attacks for more powerful combos (think the unique combat similar to Chrono Trigger). Great story. Awesome art. Amazing techno/steampunk/fantasy world. If you enjoy FF7, then I think this game is worth your time to try.

Along with Anachronox, I would also recommend Septura Core. Another great RPG.

Old but impressive.
It only has a few quirks with new systems.

Ys: The Oath in Felghana
Ys Origin
Both are really fun action RPGs and among the few games I've bought on Steam for full price and felt were worth every penny of it. They don't go on sale very much, so holiday sale is the best time to grab them.
