Yeah, I bought this game for 50% sale last winter 'cause I'm a huge space/astronaut nerd, and the surprise Denuvo DRM left a bad taste in my mouth. It's also not a very well-designed game, but the atmosphere is wonderful and if you have VR then it's kind of a must-experience if you have any interest in what it might be like to be in space.

However, for the cheap cost of the bundle, I think it's still worth it if you're a big space nerd like me even though the current Denuvo implementation makes it basically a "long-term rental" license.

I'm curious about the cut status of this KF on a new install / account.

The daylight saving time to the rescue! :) This bundle popped up as soon as the Gems one ended! And it's always (except when they decide not to make a bundle..) like that!

If you are interested in space or have dreamed of being an astronaut, then it's still a worthwhile experience even without VR. It's not a great game in terms of game design, gameplay, writing, but the atmosphere is still pretty engaging for space nerds like me.

Because it uses Denuvo, I think of the license as more of a long-term "rental" than an ownership, but for the price of the bundle it's still worth it for space enthusiasts for sure.

Meanwhile I bought it for a slightly higher price for that alone without having played it yet D: on the other hand you do get the redux version as well in case you feel like playing it again, and gain a new set of achievements and cards. And with the redux having better graphics as well.

And yes, they do bring something new. New weapons! ^^ Which is always nice! A lot of them are quite fun, so I would definitely activate them if it was me! And no, I highly doubt it has been free before. It has been in a few bundles 2-3 years ago though.
The weapon packs are not a must-have, but they do bring some freshness into good old KF, and has their strength & fun points. Activate them anyways! I'm sure you will have fun^^ I sure had! Killing Floor was the sole reason I ever got a Steam account in the first place, and is still one of my favourite games ever! More fun with friends however. :)

Well, if you already subscribed from them before, I don't think you'll get that coupon. At least you won't be able to use it. I noticed as well I didn't get one in ages. But if you make a fresh account you'll get one by buying tier 1 and will be able to buy the Humble Monthly for $10.80!

As far as I know, a guest pass will only allow you to play for a limited period of time. I have no idea how long it is in KF's case though. And gifts... Well they are the full game for you to play and enjoy forever. ;)

I got them, too, and was wondering as well what they were and why the hell I got'em. Now I know a bit more thanks to your question, but I still have no idea what to do with them. Are they some kind of demo for friends, so they can play with me for a limited amount of time until they get hooked and purchase the game themselves? Or what other purpose might they have?

Use a different payment method for a second purchase! But it really seems like this one is restricted more than other bundles.

i don't remember how long they last, but you can give them to friends to just try it out for a limited time (should say on the gift pass in your inventory). kinda like a free weekend does, full game access for a limited time.

From what I could gather from a google search it should be around 72 hours from when they activate the guest pass. It's just so your friends can try out the game in case they would be interested in buying it as well. =)
