FYI, if you live in a part of Europe where you can buy PCGames, the current issue contains a Steam key for the game R.U.S.E..
It says you need the Ubi Game Launcher and an Ubi.com account to activate the key, and doesn't mention Steam at all, but since R.U.S.E. is a Steamworks title I though I'd try to activate the key in Steam and it worked.
Now, if you're only interested in the game and don't care about the articles, then you should probably wait until R.U.S.E. is 75% off on Steam (2.49€), because the magazine costs 5.50€ (or more if you're outside Germany). But since I bought it regardless of the game, it was a pleasant surprise.
The game activated as "R.U.S.E. Retail", so it probably doesn't have any region restrictions.
The best part is, that the next issue will contain Binary Domain, another Steamworks title. I hope they will continue to include Steam keys in their magazines.
A word of warning: R.U.S.E. uses the 3rd party DRM Uplay, which requires a constant internet connection.
