Can't read comments - text colour

It's you I guess, I see dark green color in your profile, but even yellow names are perfectly visible to me, and I don't have any issue with very light grey, all comments are like normal in black. I'm on Chrome too.

you are using a old webtheme with stylish or similar?

As a temp fix you could use the user script for a black background found here at least you wouldn't have to highlight everything you want to read untill you find the source of your problem.
