1. A can opener(you are so fucked when you have not such a thing :P)
2. A bottle for fresh water
3. A weapon(knife, guns suck because of limited ammo)

1. Machete - Brilliant for cutting wood for shelter and fire
2. Knowledge on how to make a fire - you'll be damn happy you have one at night to keep you warm and to keep animals away
3. Food/Water - you need to be able to find food to live on, like coconuts or making traps and such

A leather jacket(it's more resistant to bites, it could save your life) and a backpack with ennough supplies(weapons, ammos, food, water,...) in it, reliable friends, a safe place to sleep/hide. I could also say health, courage and cleverness.
