In my opinion, I think it is really good. Not as good as the original MIB though.

MiB 3 was the bees knees. I'm thinking about seeing it again.

Never really heard much about that one, so I can't tell if you're agreeing with me or if you're trying to use that as a counter-argument.

Do NOT diss Thor. He is one of the greatest of Marvel's characters, as well as one badass god. I will say that the movie would have been better if they would have brought in Frank Castle however. He's the only guy who had a truly tragic past and doesn't bitch and whine about it. Instead he wipes out anyone that decides to break the law. Or piss him off

Eh, they were alright, but nothing to write home about.

Yep, that's what it means. And I love adaptations, but, well, comics fit in a ton of characterisation, exposition, all sorts of things that can never fit into a 2 hour film. It's a wonder that any superhero films are good, let alone great. But while we get the occasional one that's truly brilliant (the Nolan Batman films and Iron Man, for example), the vast majority are merely enjoyable. That's not a bad thing, but it does mean that, in the long run, they'll be forgotten first.

Their whole market scheme is extremely smart. They are creating a 4-way wave of interest that just burst into Avengers as a direct sequel to 4 different movies. Result is clear, all 4 camps united and created the craze that we all saw.
I loved Avengers too, btw. It is amazingly balanced and reasonable for a Hollywood blockbuster. It has a spirit and soul despite being huge and noisy. Watched it whole 3 times on a cinema as well, so they have my share of profit from the tickets.

Exactly, the way they played leading several franchises into one like that was genius, with a tease for more at the end.
The Avengers was huuuuuuuuuuge in the comics, who know what they'll do with it film-wise.

It's already been said that there will definitely be an Avengers 2.

uh, it didn't beat avengers in total. Avengers came out weeks ago, and everyone has seen it, thats why less people saw it this week. MIB3 just released. So MIB3 made 55 Million opening week. Avengers made over 200 Million opening week.
By your logic, MIB3 beat all 6 Star Wars movies combined this week, considering those movies aren't shown in theaters anymore.

I saw none but I would see MIB3 over Avengers any day.

Well it was sorta expected people probably wanted to see MIB3 as much as the Avengers

MIB3 was good, but i'll go with Avengers still. Never went to a movie around 1PM and had a packed theater, was kinda disappointed when I went to MIB3 and had to sit 2nd row from the bottom... I mean, i went to avengers the same time on opening week and i got back row seat (my usual)

I saw both in 3D. Unfortunately, the theater I saw Avengers in wasn't calibrated and it was impossible to watch the first half in 3D. Other than that, both movies were good, neither are must see in 3D. See both.
Stay after the credits for Avengers (there are 2 things after credits), don't stay after for MiB3 (there isn't a thing after the credits.)

As others have said, its not shocking in the least that a movie released during a 3 day weekend made more money then a movie thats a month old. I saw the Avengers, Im not a comic fanatic but I enjoyed the movie. MIB on the other hand, while I liked the first two doesnt grab my fancy, and is certainly not worth the 6-11 bucks to go see it.

MiB3 was mediocre at best. Some of the humor was pretty stupid, some of the characters were annoying, and it really lacked Tommy Lee Jones. At least it was better than the second one. That one was godawful. Josh Brolin was good though.

I didn't like Avengers that much. It was alright, but I just didn't like the idea of incorporated all those super heroes into one film.
I can make a safe bet that the new Batman film will beat them both. The modern batman films are just beautiful.

I still feel like Batman & Robin was the best batman movie, had a comic book feel and crazy amounts of puns. :-D
