Should point out now that the practices has most likely been hampered considerably as you now need to spend $5 in order to vote now on Greenlight. Wonder if there will be a few games retracted from Steam now?

Greenlight Game: "Oh hey do you want chlamydia?"
User: "No way!"
Greenlight Game: "But we'll give it free to you if you vote for us?"
User: "Oh well, if it's free?"
While it doesn't cost Valve nothing to put something from Greenlight on Steam, they'll be guarenteed to make money from it even if it's only pennies. Frankly though a fair majority of the blame of why the state of Greenlight is the way it is, rests heavily with the community. When you got spineless worms voting for crap because they think they'll get a free game out of it; is it any wonder that the term "Making a Steam Greenlight Game" is slang for "taking a shit" now?

Those 2 are guides how greenlight/early accsess should be. And how devs should choose their buisness model.
It's just plain sad why more projects are rather spam than game itself.

Wanted to write the same thing.
And then there are people that vote for everything that will eventually have trading cards.

People buy every .... if it has cards. Therefor, anything...Anything...can get on Steam, as long as it has cards included or promised in the future. So, this also mean, that every .... will sell and because of success, more can be made.
VALVe allowed this, but the ultimate problem is the community. Consumers are the problem for all the .... flying around, not just on Steam. Companies only make what people want and what sells, so if people are satisfied with ...., then companies are happy to make a truckload of it, since it is much easier to make, compared to something good.

Just one thing, steam game cards should have been locked behind achievements "certified" by valve/steam staff. Playtime means nothing and a lot of people is actually more interested in cards than on games themselves...
Sadly they decided not to implement that (to ease "certain" developers, probably) and now shtty games with no purpose whatsoever are bestsellers when on sale.
Just imagine having to actually "play" games to get cards, bye bye, greenlit cra and meaninglessness.

And some games look good but you don't realize how crappy they are until you actually play them. Or a greenlight game has lots of cool pictures but when it's released it's in early access and only has a few levels, not all the ones in the screenshots.

Honestly, I see many games with no point.
It may be a game that's is just a dot that moves and is called a 'game' and it can be "grass simulator "
I thought that green light makes the idiotic games not pass...?
