Best Local COOP Games aka Couch games / 1 PC (only post awesome games!) I'm updating the Masterlist

I wonder if this a list of all (local) co-op games!

Just Serious Sam 3 listed, but all SS have co-op.

Just to clarify - you want to play on a single PC?

Not on steam, but look for Little Fighters 2. Also, it's free.
Had amazing times with it playing with cousins as a kid. Oh the good times...

Oh, i almost forget Zombie Vikings is great coop game with funnest story.

You should add:

Never Alone is also pretty nice, story&graphics to go once through it but not very strong gameplay.

*Edit: The title says "Best local co-op" but few of the games listed are not really matching the criteria I think:

• The First Templay has poor reviews and I don't even think it's playable local co-op
• Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons: Great game! but it's ment for single player. You can play co-op if both players use same controller(not very confortable)
• Of course preferences are different but some games listed are just "ok" - definetelly not fitting into the "Best" category.. so the list kinda turns into "any local co-op game"

Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, The Adventures of Shuggy and Risk of Rain are coop games? Seriously? Never heard of it. :O

There are also sites like Co-optimus but the ones listed above are ones I have actually used on my system. I sometimes wish more games that can be played for longer periods of time had local coop, but it seems like it is mostly jump in/out type games.

By the way if you have left 4 dead and left 4 dead 2 you can get splitscreen to work on it by using this:

But! You need to downgrade to the G4WL version and use the fan-made Splitscreen mod. On transitioning the game from G4WL to Steamworks, the developers "Ripped out the Split Screen code" unfortunately.
