Which Empire Earth did yo enjoy most out of the series
Holy crap gave it five minutes and there is already a vote for the third installment, kudos for you to get that thing running i had a horrible time with that game for the first couple years of it's existence.

it is a little dated, so if you're not super into RTS's it might be a little bothersome to work the kinks out for such a dated game if you're snagging the first one.

With the user patch they made it a little bit better, and it was 2001 man it was one of the first FULL 3D RTS's i'm referencing the first empire earth of course. Also which game 1,2 or 3? I

Yeah, The second game is good, but the third one they made cartoony and from what I'm hearing the spin offs aren't bad either.

There is no Empire Earth 3. That game doesn't exist. It's an illusion.
(They original devs even removed it from their website. It was a total and utter failure)

you're correct about that but, GOG seems to be selling it still, so it exists in a dark pit of the internet the dev's don't want out XD I know what oyu mean though it was a joke of a game and crushed the series that could have been a damn franchise D:

Oh man, I remember playing Empire Earth, didn't know anything about the expansions.
Also up until now I thought I'd played EE 2, but looking at the pictures it seems it was the first one...
Never played the campaigns, but hours of lan games. To this day sometimes I imitate the "We're under attack!" when joking with my brother :D

They were really fun, but i hated the micromanagement involved if i wanted them to live that is.. otherwise they were wasted population.

Ironically, EE1 does work flawless on my PC + added a Steam shorcut and grid long time ago and it is perfect

Nope, I have the GoG version and it doesn't work
It keeps minimising and I can't change the resolution
I do got EE1 to work and I found a mod that lets you play at full HD and add more stuffs

Neither would I if my cousin never bought it for me, don't think the game was spread enough or sold enough, it's one of the least known and very much underrated games in the world in my opinion seeing as there's barely even any videos on YouTube, it's a game and a expansion by the way has a trailer, it's good and hard but yeah, peek it if you can.

I liked the 2 spin-offs better than the original EE trilogy.

Rise and Fall is pretty epic, but a bit clunky. It introduces Heroes that you can control in Third-Person mode among other things. The AI in skirmish is terrible though, but castle sieges become epic thanks to the large walls that you can actually climb via siege ladders and such.

I loved playing the WWI era in EE1. Fond memories of LAN sessions and making the alarm sirens heat up for everyone else, due to my air strikes. ;)

EE was cool because it took you very long to get from stone age to the future. EE1 is my favorite.

Well yeah, That's the point most people only go from a few epochs, Like when my whole family plays we cap it off at five epochs because we know we'll be there all day if we don't try fighting fast. Play a few full timeline games and get it out of your system lol

EE2 is my favorite. A solid game in every area, with absolutely fantastic Skirmish AI. One of the few AI's that also talks to you and asks for alliances, sometimes in exchange for some resources. They mock you if you progress slowly, or act surprised if you betray them. Good times.

Solid choice I agree the AI was better but with the user patch put the game mode on extreme the AI get's pretty gnarly. But i do agree the AI responding and making fun of you was more immersive.

That's cool man! I just got done playing through the Chinese campaign on Generals today actually :) Also, I highly reccomend it, it's a little bit more resource oriented than Command and Conquer But the Fights are on a lot larger scale :D

Yeah, it kind of depends on what time you're on. I've seen it get up there to a couple hundred Which was an amazing site to see. But yes, the community is small that's why i'm trying to get everyone to play again, get your friends to play it! :D

I call it slow paced because if you put random map on huge, with a one on one you'll have a long as match unless they zerg your civ

yeah, true, but the units and everything are still kind of bleh but it does help with the head aches of trying to see where your army is on the mini map, haha.

I found my families old copes of Empire Earth I &II and the Expansions! It's been a couple years and I installed on my windows 10 Computer and it ran like GARBAGE but after learning that a group of users have been hard at work to this very day, to keep multiplayer up and running and keep the game working on newer systems I gave it a try for EE1 and EE2
So spread the word that people are trying to keep the game going and you can still purchase all three games on GOG.com Incase you lost your discs from times of old!
Feel free as well too discuss good old battles and memories with the series, or classic issues, or even set up a game with other steam gift users come on DONT BE SHY :D

If you want to still play Empire Earth 1 or 2 online these are the patches that allow modern resolutions in-game including HD and help with windows 10 compatibility
