It was BTA so it was $5 above, 2.50 is the lowest till now.

Lowest price was free! Last year on Amazon they gave you a $5 coupon if you bought during their Thanksgiving sale and it was possible to use the coupon on Hotline and get it free. The deal was totally slaughtered and there were pages and pages of it here - it was my first SG win so I remember it fondly. :)

Don't know how you racked up $1000+ in CV and yet you're crying over a $2.50 game.

They wanted to sell episodes separately, but Valve was against it. And yes, they have a discount. If you have some episodes from bundles, you get 25% discount for each episode you. For example, if you'll buy 1 & 2 episodes at Groupees, you'll get 50% discount for full version.

The fact that the loyalty discount was expiring is discussed here on the community hub with the developer chipping in at some point to say that they offer a bundle of episodes 3 & 4 in their store and you can get steam keys for them. The price is $15 which is a 50% discount on the regular steam price, so this is a continuation of the loyalty discount, just not directly on steam.
They also mentioned that episodes 3 & 4 would eventually be bundled, so if anyone is sick of eps 1 + 2 being bundled they can take comfort in the fact that soon they'll be replaced by eps 3 + 4. :)

I take it you're assuming a 75% discount on a Steam sale and since this was only recently released it has only gone as low as 50% off which matches their store's every-day price (something they made a point of in the thread I linked to).

Almost every game, especially with amazon, they have the exact same sales the whole year.

Organ Trail, mostly because despite it being bundled heaps it's always right when I am totally broke or don't know about the bundle or something.

every game gets their chance sooner or later, in which "later" means the seasonal sale on everything :)

Games that are always on sale might as well stop pretending and just lower their prices.

They'd make less money, this way they still get the occasional person who can't wait for a sale and then they get all the hype from being 75% or more off during a major sale. Basically, if you want to make great money on Steam always price your game way too high and do sales often =p

Yes, being permanently on sale can make you more money than cutting your price.
People are more likely to buy a $10 game that is 50% off than a $5 game at full price. Steam sales have only exaggerated this practice, as there are now people who won't even consider a game unless it is 75% off, regardless of its base price.

Why should I be sick from a game being in sale?
I just ignore it, lol

From which games are you sick of for being constantly on sale/bundled?
