Seems like, which would mean that the [Free] and Deals labelling associations are both inaccurate and misleading, as those are considered to associate to paid and limited-time/quantity content, respectively. Going off the site's rules on advertising, it'd also be a three day suspension if there's any sign that the user is related to the game's development, publishing, or similar, but that doesn't appear to be the case at a quick glance.

The game's October 6th news posts states that the game is intended to be perma-free, with a Dec 23rd release date, so all seems to check out on the developer's side of things (ie, in it not being a price bug). There was a recent news post about the game's demo disappearing (which makes sense, given that the free full game was releasing, negating the need for a demo), so perhaps this thread came about because of some confusion over that.

Those clarifications aside, going off its trailers it doesn't look like a bad game, be it by its concept/execution, its gameplay/mechanics, or its art/cutscenes. Not really sure "the advancement of communism" is a suitable fit for offering up a charming Chirstmas story narrative, but I'm also not seeing any better options among recent Steam releases, so I guess this is what we've got this year. It's no Die Hard Trilogy, but at least it's not A Very Bad Rats Christmas or something... right?
