If you use the web activation page and view the developer console in your browser, you'll see the response from the server after you submit the key which indicates the ID and name of the game.

By '...developer console...' are you referring to the one brought up by F12 / Ctrl+Shift+J in Chrome, no idea what it is in Firefox

Yep, if you click the "Network" tab, then submit your key, you'll see a new row "ajaxregisterkey" from the server. If you click it, you can see the content. Expand the sections and you'll see the game info. Sorry, I'm on mobile now or I could give you a screenshot and more specifics :)

If you didn't activate it yourself, it'll still be good assuming it was good to begin with. There is no way to check whether a key has been used or to see what game it is without trying to activate it.

When I try to activate the key from the Steam client (not via browser) and it says "product already owned", if I click on "finish" it prompts me the window to install the game(s).. does it work for you too?

Thanks so much, I usually find out by trying to use the code then when it says I have the item the next page prompts me to install the game, which lists what it is but my one key was just not having out and timed out every time. Now I know it is the 3 Goocubelets games.

I saw this comment much earlier but I was figuring out. I run Win 7 and Firefox so the set up is similar yet slightly differ. I have been figuring this out myself. Let me get this clear, Since there was an initial comment of

I guess that answers it. I was hoping to come across a method to know the game before activating. Have 3 mystery from Indiegala. If the game was not of interest, I will not activate it and possibly open a discussion and allow others to redeem the game.
At first I accept any games thrown at me but nowadays I am quite picky with the games I keep in my library. You can't get all the games on Steam (Once a dream), too much trash. Eg. The game "Journey To The Center Of The Earth" I played for awhile then Delete from my Library, not a game I will return to. Its playable and not de-listed on Steam.

Just got the game myself, and it doesn't look like it's even searchable on steam. Though there are community discussions and a steamDB page for the app.
Redeemed it to my account but it's not showing up. I guess it's a game that steam scrubbed from their DB?

IIRC, the "developer" was booted from Steam for being an "asset flipper". It's essentially a game that is sold in the Unity Store as to research coding platformers in Unity.
It is odd that even if the key is now redeemed, you don't have the game in your library...
Just thought of something as I was typing...try going to your library and check the "Games" section and looked for the title as grayed out. You may be able to install it that way.
