EU4 is also on Gog, so it's probably free there too.

Doesn't seem to be, at least for users from Germany. Did you research that or took the time to post, but not the time to check?

I didn't check. Gog tends to update more slowly than Steam, so maybe those DLC will be free in a few days.

You can see those 8 free DLCs with this link

If it doesn't show up, probably they're going to merge them into the Base Game as default for everyone.

For people who doesn't own the Base Game, all of these DLCs will be merged into Base Game by default for everyone after Oct 17.

So probably it's free forever for everyone.

Announcement.

At the same time, EVERYONE can now go to our Steam Store page and download the “Rights of Man”, “Art of War”, “Common Sense” and the “Digital Extreme Upgrade” DLC’s for free!

This is in preparation for next week, when we will merge all above mentioned DLC’s into the base game for everyone by default.

wow thanks! at first i thought that was a lot of free dlc, but then remembered this is a paradox game so it's probably just like 10% of what's available. still appreciated the opportunity to add them all to my account

Great tip thanks!

(There's also a few other DLCs available for free, that I didn't have anyway, but those might have been available for a while.)

I got the starter pack. Is there any dlc besides the freebies I absolutely need?

The ones that have been made free, so the ones from this post, were considered to be the must haves (good on Paradox to finally include them in the base game).

I think all the others are very situational, depending on the part of the world you want to focus on (e.g. Mandate of Heaven for East Asia, El Dorado for Meso-America) or if you want to try a new playstyle (like Wealth of Nations if you want to become an economic superpower)

Yea. I missing Domination, Winds of Change, and 3 immersion packs: King of Kings, Lions of the North, Origins. Regarding expansions I think it is connected with particular countries (?) and I usually play as a Poland if possible = that is why I rather pass even if this is tempting because probably there are not so much content in my case (?) ;). No rush, maybe will complete it by HB (but it will be probably similar cost anyway) or there will be future promotions like this. I also returning to such time consuming games only from time to time.

Thank you! Given my current backlog, I doubt I'll ever log more hours into EUIV, but it's always nice to have more options.

Thanks a lot. It is weird that some of the DLCs in this list don't show up in the game page (in the DLCs column). I had to go to each URL directly and verify. Haven't noticed that before Oo

they removed some of the listings because they're being absorbed into the base game. guess they don't feel right about charging people for something they're about to include for everyone.

Ah! In that case adding these DLCs is fruitless.
Paradox should focus less on DLCs, and more on their base games. Whenever I see 10+ DLCs in a game I loose the interest. If that number is 20+ probably won't ever even consider it, unless it comes in a bundle. Most likely other people have the same thoughts.

I got the base game free on epic back in the summer, there's some free DLC but not this stuff yet for some reason.
