Why do people stopped playing Max Payne 3?

So i'm just curious , why don't YOU play it anymore (for those who already got it) ?

Because this is CoD generation of people, they play games like CoD, CS and Battlefield. It doesn't matter how this game is good, people will play only CoD, CS and Battlefield, because they are all well known. You know why CoD is like a most seller game? Only because it's most known game. It doesn't have to do anything with its quality or something. CoD is shit, but it's like most known game, so it's most seller game, that's all, nothing special about this CoD crap.

Single=player is OK, that's all. There are SO many really good games tailored to be played mostly or only as multiplayer games... Why should I play MP3 online? :P I mean, I have BF3, Team Fortress 2, Counter Strike...

Well that's the real problem , coz i really wanted to buy it today . That's why i asked for your optinions.

i dont have it but i think if i had, i would play it. I dont like CS, TF2, etc. I have 4 fps games: mw3, black ops, blattlefield 3 and combat arms. (i never play them, but when i do i usually play mw3 or bf3)

Because it's not kind of multiplayer you would play for a long time. Really. It was fun to play it for a month after release, but now it's not (well, it is, but still you wouldn't spend much time for it). It's like Serious Sam HD-3 Deathmatch or FEAR 3 or Gears of War Deathmatch or Assassin's Creed's Multiplayer. It has some fresh ideas and it's fun, but it doesn't have long live. I bought Max Payne 3 because of Singleplayer and I was ready that multiplayer will be abandoned after few months, so as for me I'm ok with that.

as much as im bored of bf3 or any other popular online game (shooters especially), max payne 3 is just not the kind of multiplayer you would play for a long time.
i mean look at some stats of casual people playing bf3 or tf2.
hundreds of hours. notice how i said casual? yea.

I pre-ordered it on RGSC. Played single-player for a week. And that's all. I just didn't like it. Dunno why. Than I tried a multiplayer. It really sucks.

I thought the multi was pretty good for what it is, but this is probably what ruined it for most people.

Besides, it's always been fairly dead, whenever I'd play it I'd usually see the same people playing and the hardcore playlist was totally dead within a month from launch.

max payne 1 and 2 are better

IMO They should have never continued the story. The ending on Max Payne 2 was great, they should have left it there. as for the multiplayer haven't tried it and don't plan too.

I had enought of it after 120 hours so I don't play it anymore.

The 2nd comment got many replies I couldn't read so not sure if my statement was mentiod already but:
Rockstar probably thought they could make more money if they make a fast based shooter like CoD. (Not mentioning BF3 since it is becoming a CoD clone (don't argue with that, it's true anyways ))
So they did, maybe they made more money this way than without a multiplayer, but still, why should people play a less popular and less known shooter if they can play CoD, or CS/TF2 in PC's case. So they might had their fun with the slow motion and the third person, but that's it, there wasn't any other difference.

I had my fun in the game too, played the story and some multiplayer but honestly the story wasn't that awesome, it was like a typical hollywood action movie, which I am personally sick off. But the multiplayer was fun, not for a long time of course.

I still continue to play it.
