there's already a link to the steamprofile with the steam ID, like

So you only need to get the steamcommunity and change the domain and you have the right link.. I won't be home till Saturday but if no one has made it by then, I will ;-)

I figured that part out (somehow, it looks very weird), but I actually have no idea about how to add buttons XD
I can add the link to the sidebar using other scripts as a base (for example silent guy's sgtool links) - budgie see, budgie do :P - but buttons are a mystery to me ^^ I know close to nothing about javascript (if this even is javascript).

I try not to be negative, but this is Steam auth all over again. Some people got scammed because they don't pay attention, so to protect them the system got more inconvenient for everyone :\ It's so much fun to copypaste names / url at steamtrades.

We had a working linking system. But because some people can be scammed and a proper trading FAQ or a big background text CHECK THESE URLS IF THEY ARE MATCHING would be something CG doesn't want to include to the new site, they rather remove the link to rep because the low % of the scammers used to scam the low % of the people they tried to trade with. If every 50th person is a scammer and succeeds at every 5th scam, that means that the rep-link got removed because one out of 250 users got scammed.
(Steam auth all over again: some people with weak passwords or lack of steam guard got scammed. Valve had enough, so they forced the auth system on everyone [ignoring everyone without smartphone, or with win phone, had to confirm 1 by 1, etc. It was a forced shitty system that worked just as fine as an average EA game] )

you probably need a dnsflush to get the icons to work properly, seems to be a common issue lately.
otherwise possibly cookies/cache.. but i'd start with the harmless dnsflush first.

i agree it should officially stay separate to protect newbie traders. sleepycat's explanation made me undersand why that is...
but i'm hoping scripts make it more integrated again for those of use who know better and just want a quicker way to get around from profile to profile. - Daerphen's script above is half of what i want, other direction from ST profile back to SG profile would be nice again too though in script form. xD
if you're smart enough to install a script to alter the way you browse around, you better damn well be smart enough to verify you're trading with who they say they are.

But I'm using it. Don't see how it helps with my request tho, as it's for Steam, isn't it? Also I find it to be very unreliable. Many times it was not working for me in the recent past when I wanted to cross check profiles of people I was doing business with.

Currently I'm finding it very inconvenient to track a certain user's feedback / trading profile. It used to be so easy with the reputation displayed on our profiles. Can we maybe have a fifth button underneath the profile picture linking to our Steamtrades profiles, please?
