Uhm, if I may drop a useful suggestion: set your giveaways to at least level 1. You'll be sure to have a winner who understands how the site works. Can't believe you tortured yourself through almost 800 no level giveaways...

I like things to be open to everyone, almost never have issues with people doing things the right way,, mainly because I've already blacklisted like 35 - 45 people who won and didn't redeem, answer friends request or anything else.. Just hate having to create 2 new support tickets for the same person ... grr...

I recently started doing giveaways and faced this problem. At times the users were even online here and on steam but never redeemed the game or replied to the message. One guy waited around a week before activating the game so I guess people can just be like that.

There are still a lot of people who don't know that it is possible to redeem keys via browser now.
And thus if they are away for a couple days from home they may be online, but think they aren't able to redeem their keys.^^

That's nice of you but basically you're just feeding bots. That's mostly the reason why it takes that long even if they're "online"

Like earthmind said, if you include level 0 in your giveaways you will also get a lot of entries from people completely new to the site who might not return at all or understand the rules at first. Just try to contact your winner on Steam.

The solution would be to join a giveaway group composed of legit SG users where everyone enter in the GAs if they actually want it, or at least if they will redeem it. There is a lot of users like this, you know they just want to enter every giveaway they can because they can, but you can add some contributors levels too, to giveaway your games to people actually give some games too and use the website in a good way.

I've had this happen in the past, never noticed any of them getting banned,, was just frustrated because the same guy won in two of my giveaways, each other several hundred entries, like how does that happen lol..

They will not get banned forever, just for 3-5 days. Only after 4 or more (dont know the correct number) not activated games it will be a perma ban.

So annoying when people win your giveaways and can't even be bothered to redeem the games and if they do redeem them, to not even bother marking it as received..
Would be nice if people got legit banned for not redeeming games.. makes me less likely to giveaway more games when i'm stuck waiting around for idiots that entered the giveaway with no intention of actually redeeming the game in the first place..
