Puzzle:

I'm not telling you what to do with this.
Result of solving is 5 letters of giveaway link xxXxx.
Giveaway ends at midnight CET.
Hints MAY appear here.

Also I'm pretty sure that nobody will solve this one :)

EDIT: you CAN solve it as group, I don't care. :)

Some answers to your questions:

  1. It's not just binary as you clearly see.
  2. As a result of 2-3 steps you will get 5 letters, 2 small, big and 2 small again. You will have to put it after www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/
  3. Hint(s) maybe at 7 p.m. CET. They still won't help you. :P

Solution:
Chris1507 was veeeeery close to solve this one. He made good choice to paint the numbers. And I'm very curious why nobody noticed it's QR code? Used Chris's picture to get solution. Ofc that yellow version is not readable (or maybe is, need to check it...) so proper one is here. After reading it in some online QR code reader we get "kvZoc" and that's proper part of giveaway link.

0_o What is this I don't even... I've never seen so many ones and zeroes cluttered together, I have no idea where I'm supposed to even start solving this...

A little something called binary code, heard of it?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Well let's say I have heard the name binary code, and I know it has something to do with bunch of ones and zeroes.... And that's pretty much all I know about it. I guess we're supposed to convert this code somehow into something else, a phrase or a giveaway code or something, but I have no idea how to do it. It looks too complicated :(

You can find translators online that automatically convert the code into text.

I don't really believe this puzzle can be solved with such simple methods. The OP claimed this would be a really hard puzzle, so I expect we have to do something more complicated. But who knows, I might be wrong :L

Yes, you're absolutely right. It's much more complicated than it seems. I need some time :P

If that's the case, I think I'll give up. I don't even understand binary codes properly, and if this is something far more complicated than them, there's no chance I'll be able to figure it out :(

You're confusing me now, I was convinced it was alien waffles :(

Comment has been collapsed.

It's that damn Πwhich is ambiguous in a secret alien language that no one knows, if we had something added to the recipe like szxczdsadfxv it would be pretty clear is it for pancakes or waffles :/. It has to be part of the puzzle!

Question:

Is the giveaway link mumbled up and you have to rearrange them to find out the exact one? Also, does xxXxx mean small letter-small letter-big letter/number-small letter-small letter or does the little x's mean number as well?

I think I might be on to something.

Splitting the "code" into lengths:

8 x 5: 11101 00010 01010 11111 01010 01111 10101 00110

5 x 21: 001011101100010001001 100111000110000000001 100110101010011010011 010010001001011000001 001011101010101011100

8 x 13: 1100000101111 0110001100011 1011001110000 1010111100011 0101110100110 1000111011001 0010110010010 0011000010011

All lengths are multiples of four plus one. May it be necessary to decode each line a different way?

No idea if it's relevant as I'm not very skilled in coding - I can't get anything from it but maybe someone else can.
