According to urbandictionary, brostep = shitty dubstep

Correct definition:
Brostep = Dubstep with repetitive high-frequency basses.

Sorry about that. Had a bad experience with mentioning torrents on here a while back. Wouldn't want you to get in any trouble!

Can't listen to it at this exact moment, but that poor guy in the comments who said "It's so bad" and got hate.
Let's all shed a tear for the state of electronic media nowadays.
EDIT: $4? No way. I'm broke.

Definitely love Savant. His music goes all over the place too.
Also, DnB is awesome:

Ah man Vinter's so fucking talented when it comes to making music...
EDIT: Never liked DnB. Just seems like a constant drumbeat with some bass in the background. Which is exactly what it is...?

That was damn good.... but... anything free/accessible from them?

Probably not, maybe his remixes. Some of them are on Soundcloud I think.
I usually buy my music through Beatport, sorry :/
The group Pretty Lights has allot of free music.

I liked Savant more out of the three links you put up. Pretty good I think. Though I already spent my $5 on music for this month, it sounds good enough to check it out again in the future. I'll keep an eye out for it later, thanks for the link!

Feed Me is pretty good too. Along with Kill The Noise.
Feed Me - One Click Headshot (love the Pure Pwnage reference too)
Kill The Noise - Thumbs Up (collab with Feed Me)
And for Glitch Hop lovers:
Mord Fustang - Champloo
More Savant:
Savant - Fuck Nexus
and
Savant - Party Machine

That song's really boring, imho.
Just drum beats and repetitive audio clips.
I don't understand how songs like that and Savant's stuff are in the same genre. I find all this chillout stuff that I find really boring labelled under dubstep.

Well just noticed both posts right above my own. And I think you would not find my links interesting ^^'

I honestly found all of those really boring. Ever heard Savant's stuff? That's what I like.

So maybe some of this stuff? or this :D If you don't find them nice then I cannot help you unfortunately ^^

The second was meh.

Glad I have somehow helped :D Here, have some tuna dancing to dubstep and I'm leaving this thread as I do not know many other tracks :D

A community channel called 'MrMomMusic' on youtube has some great music. No hardcore stuff but mostly vocals & melodic. You should check him out :)

I honestly prefer Bandcamp to anything else, and I really hate using Youtube for music.

This is still my favorite song
On a more serious note, i still think dubstep is pretty boring. But this thread gave me a better impression of it, so thanks!

Both are too boring for me :/. They aren't "emotionally immersive" enough. I'd like to listen to them when i'm doing other stuff because they don't distract me, but they would be too flat when i'm exclusively listening to music

... really? Too boring? What isn't boring to you? I find that to be quite literally the most hardcore (AND GOOD) stuff I have heard.
EDIT: I'm hoping you waited until the drop on Sledgehammer, and listened to all of P EMM ESS on ACROBATICS.

Beeing hardcore has nothing to do with beeing boring or not for me (though it can help).
With "boring" i mean that they don't provoke any emotion. They don't make me think or feel in a special way.
As an example, this song makes me feel incredibly powerful (although i'm not really into Hardstyle because it's mostly too repetitive and simple). This is another example

DAYUM DUDE. That's good! Any other free/"free" stuff from them?

If you have a good subwoofer you will like Another World by Structured Noises.
Here are some of my favorites: Eastern Jam (also this remix seems to melt your brain if you have a good sound equipment :), Rude Boy, Fire Hive (also a nice remix), The Unforgiven, also this one is fun.
This one is not dubstep but it makes my subwoofer happy. Also, who doesn't like Seven Nation Army?

I have an HP laptop with Skullcandy headphones. Ya think that's good equipment? (please no skullcandy hate I really do like my uprocks)
Is there any free albums/EPs/discogs? I hate finding good music with only 1 free song.

what about skream and benga, or flux pavillion and doctor p. Feed me is pretty good but i dno if you would really call that dubstep. also krewella are amazing.

Yeah, most people have a really botched view of dubstep/trance/hardcore electronic in general due to all of the popular artists out there that really fuck up the genre.
I try and avoid the absolute shit, which is all the popular stuff, which means I'm really into a lot of good music that not many people on SG and other forum sites have heard of. It's quite sad, but if it got popular it would just go downhill immediately.
Sorry for the rant. You can have whatever opinions you want.

I ask you guys for a lot, don't I?
Welp, I need decent dubstep. I am obsessed with finding new and decent music.
PLEASE no brostep, like Skrillex or whatever else there even is.
My favorite (and only one I know well, tbh) dubstep artist is Savant. Sledgehammer is one of my favorite songs by him.
I love either the really hardcore stuff (Sledgehammer is a good example), or the somewhat calm songs with a good beat + great vocals. (Ride Like The Wind and Hungry Eyes, love those songs)
I'll take any suggestion if it's free or accessible (iykwim) to me. I'd suggest giving me a sample/description instead of just a download.
