I'd call you all sorts of terrible things, if I didn't have lots of amazing games in my library I've yet to complete...

I can't finish Portal 2 as it makes me incredibly sick, I get dizzy and makes me want to vomit. It's so sad, as I love the game itself :( Hope the people who get to play it thanks to you won't have the same experience, lol. Happy holidays and bump for you! ♥

Well, there's a little walking simulator called Oracle that also had similar effect for me, but Portal 2 was much worse. I think it has to do with a combination of the first person thing and sudden, fast movements. But I can play stuff like Overwatch (and Mercy, mind you, that's flying around and stuff) with no problem at all.

I remember Valve using an high FOV [field of view] for their games, probably that's half of the problem: if you search online you'll find a lot of people having problem with these games, so lowering (sometimes increasing) the FOV may help you. And besides that, for the brain is not always easy to elaborate the portal thing, especially when you enter portals with different angles, and that can be the second bit of your problem which is unrelated on how fast paced the game can be; I think it is indeed similar to the motion sickness induced by VR system, with your brain expecting for the body to move while it does not, same thing happens sometimes with portals. Other options are to play in windowed smaller than your screen, or using a tiny, maybe 4:3 monitor, so you get less immersed; also for the same reason, don't play in the dark. Of course it's just a game, despite being one of the greatest of all time, so if you are afraid of feeling sick (or just lazy) ignore the suggestions.

I was getting worried you had forgotten.
Nah, just kidding. I forgot about your tradition until I saw the thread. :D

bump , I play portal a long time ago.(Probably 2010)
At that time I think it is very interesting, I feel this game is very difficult , too.
After a long time , I have my own Steam account , I saw portal again , so I bought it.

I almost, almost forgot, in these hectic festive days... almost, but not quite! This gifting initiative is turning sweet sixteen.
Whenever Portal is on sale, I give it away (along with its sequel), until everyone has a copy. Current simulations suggests I will, in fact, die before that can happen. I'll make sure to organize a Willy Wonka-esque competition to pick out my successor when it comes to that, complete with Golden Ticket.
Valve's changed policies mean I will no longer be giving away the Portal bundle, since I can't actually purchase it anymore even as a gift. What a lovely idea that is! It's all about increasing consumer choice and convenience, I'm sure. So here's what we do instead: regardless of what giveaway you win, you will receive both Portal 1 + 2 if you don't already own both. People who don't own either game have double odds. I think that's fair, feel free to complain to Valve if you disagree. Without further ado:
Per tradition, for the many people who already have Portal, the obligatory consolation prize. Good luck!
Bonus giveaway: Portal by Venhiem. (You only get Portal with this one, not also the sequel.)
