Spoopy!?
Hm maybe it´s a ghost. Put flour on your keyboard before you go to sleep, and if there are fingerprints in your whole bedroom in the morning then runxD

Nothing is running, I only use idlemaster, which I haven't turned on for a while, but it just happened again and increased by another 3 hours, while my laptop was off, like shut down...
I do have family sharing enabled, but the people in my friends list who play DS2 own it already? ^^
Thank you ^^

Steam has incorrect play data for nearly every game I've played, though most of that is due to my persistently playing in off-line mode :P ['cause my net cuts out and I don't notice, or because I deliberately don't want to be bothered by anyone while I play an immersive game].
But it has also upped my game time as Talgaby mentioned, due to the known bug of 'not recognizing a game as having closed'. [It will also occasionally screw up playtime if you're running multiple games at once, including idling+playing.]
I'm not sure if that could still apply with the computer turned off, however- but I guess if it's calculating server-side and it's not properly receiving a 'kill' command, then it would happen.
Question, though- is your laptop actually off, or just hibernating/in sleep mode?
Hibernation saves your current session to disc and then shuts down, which may be preventing Steam from properly receiving that kill command, while sleep mode is more a 'super low power mode' than anything, and thus not actually shutting completely off, and so could also be messing with it.
(If you're closing your laptop to shut it down, it'll be defaulting to one of the two.)

Oh, I heard offline play can mess with your game time sometimes, but I don't play offline, well much, but never DS2 because I play it to co-op with my friends ^^
And yes my laptop is off, like shut down off, I make sure of this, even removed my battery this time to make sure my pc isn't doing something fishy, well I checked on my phone before turning on my laptop and game time increased by another 4 hours T_T
Thanks for your help ^^

So in two days my steam game time for Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin increased by 20 hours, which I last played on Sunday night, and if that isn't weird enough, yesterday it was 41 hours at around midnight, I wake up today 6 hours later and now it's 51 hours... My laptop was turned off both nights...
Edit*: increased by 2 hours now >.< that's not even possible
Edit again: now it's at 62 hours... it hasn't been 11 hours since i started this thread T_T
Edit again again: Now at 68 and it seems to have stopped after the last steam maintenance...
Ya hasn't increased since then... Still have like 38 hours of random game time T_T, thanks for your help ^^
