I've played a lot of Metroidvania games in my days, and this was the game that finally de-throned Super Metroid as the greatest one I had played. So yes, it's worth buying! It's not as focused on tight platforming as Ori, but has more challenging and tighter combat, which I really enjoyed.

Can't really say exact scores and stuff, but it's absolutely in the same league as Ori, or rather being better as far as gameplay depth goes (itemization, changing of abilities) while still having gorgeous design, and superfluid, awesome gameplay. Absolutely worth it if you want a good metroidvania.
