So yeah, might get new PC sometime soon. Could you help me with pretty good, and not really costful build for good gaming PC? Thanks in advance.

Budget?

Get a mid lvl pc. These days any i5 processor with a decent GTX 500/600 series can run almost all game at medium/high. Unless you're planning on having a dual GPU build to go for Ultra in games, which you aren't, then just stick the usual i5, mid level GTX/ATI, 4/8gig of RAM, 1tb 7200 rpm hard drive and you should be fine.

Damn this is a pretty good guide! Thanks bro. Saving it for my next PC build.

some of the those prices are a bit off though, also keep in mind that this doesn't include the cost of an operating system

Wasn't really paying attention to the prices tbh, I was checking the tips on each hardware. Need to keep that in mind.

I never would have guessed that a guide that wasn't automatically updated could have outdated prices!

Yeah, money is kinda hard thing to tell, around 600-900 in dollars, I guess.

You can get something like in This topic.Except go with GTX660Ti and default CPU fan.

Or go with This. If you aren't going to overclock CPU you don't need to pay more for that letter "k" and MOBO that supports OC. This one will

16GB RAM? Are you fking kidding me? No game will use that much RAM! 750W PSU? WTF dude? 750W is much more than needed if you don't have 2 graphics cards in SLI/Crossfire system! 500W is enough for most systems! 256GB SSD is waste of money. 128GB more than enough for most important things + it's not a "must have" thing. Why get that Corsair CPU cooler if for most Intel CPU's default one will be enough (if you don't overclock of course). Corsair case - can get whatever case you want until you get one that's not completely closed and has enough place for air circulation. About motherboard - sure, you can get Asus one but as far as I have seen MSI and Gigabyte have some cheaper ones with same performances (+ Asus motherboard means nothing when talking about computer parts because he can get LGA2011 socket one for LGA1155 socket CPU. Add more info!).

500W is when you average the usage of your components, but don't start crying to me when you burn your PC when your components peek and take 2x times the W.

And a case and power unit are always something that you can save for your next PC build. You have to think ahead. I spent 1500euro on my PC about a year and a half ago, and it keeps on letting me play games MAXED out to this day.

That's why you don't buy no-name PSU's. Get a Forton, Corsair or OCZ one and you won't have problems like that. If you don't build overkill PC you won't need 750W PSU and 500W will be more than enough! Hardware nowadays doesn't need that much wattage as it needed 4-5 years ago!

Not sure where you're getting your numbers from but even an SB-E hexcore with a HD7970/GTX680 pulls under 450 watts. Seeing as he's also on somewhat of a budget, I don't see how anything he builds could need a 750W psu.

Exactly. Most he will get will be around 400-450W so 520W will be good for him (if he doesn't buy no-name PSU which works as 300W PSU). He can get 750W PSU but that's just waste of money if he doesn't think about making SLI/Crossfire system anytime soon.

I can't think of many games that use even 8gb. I believe the 16gb suggestion would be for multitasking.

Everything else is your opinion backed with no real reasoning or information.

Get a 2nd Gen (Sandy Bridge - only if overclocking) or 3rd Gen (Ivy Bridge - who needs overclocking anyways when you can play all the latest games on ultra settings) Intel i5 (K only if overclocking) or i7 (if afford and want hyperthreading), plus a good graphics card such as the nVidia GTX 680, 8GB DDRAM 1600MHz (no faster/move as your wasting money or slower as it could bottleneck), Black Edition HDD with SSD caching!

Why suggest Sandy Bridge when Ivy Bridge is just a few $ more and works better? No point getting i7 if i5-3570 will be the same and cost much less. i7 will give maybe a few fps more. GTX680 is overkill. GTX560Ti, GTX660Ti or GTX670 will be enough. About RAM you're right. HDD - yeah that would be best.

I suggested the Sandy only if overclocking, some hardcore guys still overclock. In which case the Sandy Bridge is the better option as the Ivy will overheat more... Sandy outperforms Ivy in Overclocking. However, the question is who overclocks these days when your already running at max resolution lag-free.

i5 is fine for gaming purposes.

GTX 680 isn't overkill, it's the best if you are a hardcore gaming wanting the best graphics and smooth gameplay (I have yet to see it lag and got it half price, best investment ever). GTX 690 is the over priced overkill (more money than sense). If you want to go with good gaming, then that's fine suggesting the GTX580 or GTX660Ti or better.

It depends on what resolution you're running. I play everything on max settings with my HD6670 which isn't even mid-high card. Bigger resolution = less fps = possible lag = needs more powerful GPU. And yeah - for GTX680 I just though about my own setup and computer where it would really be overkill (no point for me to put in that GPU if I run everything on max with a mid range card). Sorry for inconvenience.

I'll ask a question that I have never seen asked once in any of the threads where people are looking for suggestions.

What size of monitor do you have or will you be using and what resolution is it? When deciding on your CPU/GPU, it's good to know what we're striving for. The hardware required to do 720p is much less than 1080p.

I must agree with that. Never asked that before but now I'm interested too. Not because of CPU but because of GPU. CPU must be something from i5 (preferrably i5-3570 or i5-3570k) but no point to suggest expensive GPU that won't be used to it's full potencial.
