Contribute to the giveaway gods.

You need to give away games. You can find the "create a giveaway" page under Giveaways on the top centre of the website. After the giveaway is finished and you have given the winner their gift, you'll get the contribution value according to the steam price (US price if I remember). However, games with an * next to their name are bundle games, meaning there are special rules that apply to contributor value. Check the FAQ for that.

Click "giveaways" on the top menu, then "create a giveaway". brotip: peeps around here "looove" Skyrim!

Now to wait till he reads everything and forgets to actually have the game because nobody explicitly said so :)
