if you like action RPGs, diablo-esque + mods, then yes.

It's almost exactly like Diablo, so make sure you like that kind of game. I was addicted to Diablo 2 back in its day, played for 1 week straight (40 hours in one week IIRC), afterwards I stopped completely and never played a game like that again until this day. I bought Torchlight 2 and don't even know why, probably because it was cheap and I wanted to see if I can get into a Diablo type game again after many years of absence. It's a mindless click-fest. You click on enemies, they die, you level up and collect loot. Tons of randomly generated loot. And that's it.

I personally prefer the 1st one.

Yeah, under certain conditions you get drops on free weekends.

I like it better than Diablo 3, didn't play much Path of Exile.

Played PoE and TL2, and I'd say PoE is definitely the better game (and I haven't played since months before PoE ended its beta, but I've heard it's done nothing but get even better since). PoE has more variety, better mechanics, more difficulty, better skills, etc..
