Its just for you knowing that you have send him the key, the winner gets the notification instantly.

Alright. Thanks all (first 3) for commenting. I just wasn't sure how the 're-roll' stuff worked. For example, if winners are notified only after the gift is marked 'sent', so they wouldn't see a re-roll was done.
And not that I did a re-roll...but that was just in the back of my head since about notifications and then me liking to wait until the gift is sent/given in a message.

So, I have a winner for a GA. It's a steam key and I need to add the winner on Steam (this was mentioned in the GA). Do I need to mark the gift as sent before the winner knows s/he won? Meaning, if I don't have it marked as sent, then will s/he see the green banner for winning the GA?
I didn't see anything regarding this in the FAQ. I'm wondering, cause I don't like to mark the gift as sent until I give the key / e-mail the gift. However, users may not log into Steam as much as the site and if it's not marked as sent then they won't see my FR on Steam as quickly perhaps.
