How Do I Get Rid of Messages From Blocked People?

Had similar issue, opening it in browser instead of Steam helped.

But then it was only one message, I never blocked that bot and bot never messaged me again, so not sure if that will help...

Make sure you've closed the chat window before clicking on it again, if it repeatedly does not work, restart Steam. That's helped for me with unread message notifications in the past.

Maybe you blocked him but not removed from friends? It's not done automatically.

Pending messages (along with their notifications) get deleted automatically after a month, so you could just be patient and wait till they go away naturally. Hoping that he won't pm you further ahah

unblock ,add him back and block again..it works for me :>3

Just a general suggestion:

If you aren't activly trading or seek attention through your profile page. Put it on private and let only your friends see your page.
It doesn't help against the hacking/scamming itself but it does lower your chance of becoming a target. Because if people/bots don't see what you have or if you are even active they don't know if its even worth the effort (and might move on to another target).

But it does require you to put it on public once a week for 5 secs to sync your profile here ^^

You can try making your profile private and changing your community id url (and username) temporarily to something else, that way he can't find you.

hmm idk exactly how it might show up for you, but whenever the same thing happens with a comment, a small line of text shows up in the notifications page that says to click here if you want everything marked as "read"
