Just spreading the word!

From humblebundle.com:

The Humble Origin Bundle
8 triumphant games. Pay what you want and get the terrifying sci-fi horror third person shooter Dead Space 3; the original bone-chilling horror shooter Dead Space; the intense action-packed supersoldier shooter Crysis 2 Maximum Edition; the high speed open-world crash happy racer Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box; the authentic modern warfare sim Medal of Honor; and the first person parkour thrill ride Mirror's Edge. Pay over the average and receive the beloved life sim The Sims 3 (along with two expansion packs in The Sims 3 Starter Pack) and the unrivaled military shooter Battlefield 3.

Fire it up on Origin. Buying the Humble Origin Bundle gets you the games to play on Windows through Origin (system requirements here), with The Sims 3 also available on Mac! Electronic Arts has also provided Steam keys for some of the games (full list here)!

Pay what you want. On their own, all these mind-blowing titles would cost about $215, but we're letting you name your price! Pay any price to get soundtracks for The Sims 3 and Battlefield 3. A purchase of $1 or more gets you Origin keys for all the games, and you can also get Steam keys for Dead Space, Crysis 2 Maximum Edition, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, Medal of Honor, and Mirror's Edge! Beat the average to also get The Sims 3, two expansion packs in The Sims 3 Starter Pack, and Battlefield 3.
Note: This bundle provides Origin keys for all the games on Windows, with The Sims 3 also available on Mac. Select games also come with Steam keys.

Origin loves charity. Origin and Electronic Arts Inc. are donating their share of the proceeds from this bundle to the following 5 great charities: the Human Rights Campaign; Watsi; the San Francisco AIDS Foundation; the American Red Cross; or the American Cancer Society. And if you're enjoying this promotion, a tip to Humble Bundle is greatly appreciated!

tl;dr:

Humble Origin Bundle now available, 8 games, pay more than $1 to get Dead Space, Crysis 2 Maximum Edition, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, Medal of Honor, Mirror's Edge + Dead Space 3. Pay more than the average, about $5 and get Battlefield 3 + The Sims 3 Starter Pack. You get origin keys for all games and steam games for some. All money is going to charity, EA takes nothing. Also included is the Sims 3 + Battlefield 3 soundtrack for any price.

There has been speculation about the absense of Dead Space 2 however Humble Bundle have previously added games to bundles when there are 7 days left so we can probably expect DS 2 to be a bonus game.

No Paysafecard options, no bought... Seriously... There are people who just don't want to involve with paypal, prepaid (or not) debit cards, etc... It's just annoying... I wouldn't care if I had to spend one euro... It's almost the same, but come on... I wish anyone could buy it for me, I already have a paysafecard with 1.60 euros ... :(

EA and Origin aside, this is a fairly meh bundle. The only thing of any interest to me is Burnout, and I'm not even sure that would work properly on PC. Did they at least remove the EA bloatware thing people are complaining about on Metacritic?

Haters gonna hate. Apart from Burnout, the first Dead Space and Mirror's Edge are quite remarkable games. Besides, the other games are not bad at all and they are adding Dead Space 2 and Bulletstorm (presumably) among others next week making the bundle even more desirable.

Again, haters gonna hate.

Mirror's Edge is an epic game. Dead Space is considered a legend from the times when EA weren't such assholes. Battlefield 3 is a love/hate game, I personally enjoyed it. And the rest? Still pretty good games. For this price, the bundle is awesome.

Anyone think Dead Space 2 will be part of the average unlock or part of the rest of the games you only pay a minimum of $1 for?

I think in earlier bundles the games added on the second week all went to the BTA. Anyway, if you buy the bundle even at 1$ before new games are added you get them too.

I can already see this: "You can't call EA worst company of America since they give to charity!"- this is gonna be the argument they'll use next year. Also, hey, they're getting more people to go use Origin so they'll say people LOVE the thing.

Before all their protectors show up- yes I did buy the bundle for the Steam keys. Because cheap games and charity. But that doesn't change the fact that this was likely a calculated move on EA's part and should be taken with a grain of salt. :P

I redeemed on steam and Origin. Just for backup. When you activate on Steam, MOH, Burnout and Crysis 2 give you an Origin key. So for those games you are really getting 2 Origin keys.

Heard about this yesterday. Honestly, I'm surprised and I REALLY want to get it. Do you only have to give 1 $ for the first 5(?) games, or what?

One 1 dollar and you get Dead Space, Crysis 2 Maximum Edition, Dead Space 3, Burnout Paradise complete box and Mirror's Edge for both Steam AND Origin (Dead Space 3 only for Origin, since it isn't available on Steam).
If you buy it before the first week goes by, when the second one starts you will also get Dead Space 2, Bulletstorm, Command and Conquer 3 and Medal of Honor Airbone.

ONE.
FRIGGIN.

By the way, each game comes in two separate keys (one for Steam, the other for Origin, except Dead Space 3 as said before).

BUT, you can get an extra Origin code of Medal of Honor, Crysis 2 and Burnout Paraside CB through Steam (activate the games on Steam and right-click on it to "View CD-KEY", this third Key works as a Origin key).

If they (mothereffing EA) just gave us the Burnout Paradise DLC's... They shouldn't say that it's the "ultimate" box when the most DLC's are missing. -_- And that eye-blinding white screen after login is annoying too. I already remember why we hate EA and it only took me 5 minutes.

And origin, FY too.

Great bundle.

See, I always disliked Origin not because of its apparent performance issues, but because of the terrible EULA and precedents it sets if you sign on that dotted line. It just gives them another signal that "Yes, I am a customer, I will still pay high prices for your games and also bend over backwards to do so". The fact that they even launched Origin and used this EULA is a culmination of previous allowances on DRM. It's a slippery slope and it just keeps getting steeper.

Which is a shame, because I really liked the look of BF3 and ME3, and planned on pre-ordering them.
BUT, with this bundle? I figure that my signature has already been made, after an accidental click-through on a Darkspore patch notes/EULA combo. Yeah, they made their Origin EULA retroactive in the case of many of their games, so they are giving themselves a fake 'green light' anyway.

So, I tried to install Origin. I got a message that the installer was going into quiet-mode, and then it got busy with my HD.
I assumed it was scanning for pirated products or something, so I shrugged and let it do its thing. About 10-15 minutes later, I realised the bar hadn't moved, so terminated the installer with the plan of starting it again. That's when I realised I had 300GB more HD space than I should have, and my steam overlay (and then steam itself) crashed. It turns out that the Origin installer decided to try delete it's entire parent directory, which was my /games/ folder. By the time I cancelled the process, all I managed to save was a few games in the steam /common/ folder and Zafehouse Diaries. It was basically peeling through the folders in alphabetical order, deleting them.

It's the first time in a very long time that I can admit to something related to videogames causing me to become genuinely enraged.
Googling resulted in very limited findings. People who got the same kind of echo-box and silent-mode as I did generally report the installer just hanging, or only the Origin games folder being deleted. Nothing about wiping out the parent directory.

The terrible part is they will obviously do nothing about it, because without proof they will just assume I'm computer illiterate or that my computer has all its ports open and is a horrible malware jungle. It's not like we're in the habit of recording our daily desktop activity in FRAPS/Bandicam, is it? Hell, in desperation I even tried to install Origin a second time but with my screen recorder rolling. By sods law, it installed in a matter of seconds, and no sign of the echoing window. Although the second time I installed it to it's default directory in /program files/, which in hindsight could have been catastrophic if it pulled the same insane error. The first time I was installing it into my games directory ("/games/origin/", that is).

All I can say is BUYER BEWARE.
For the love of god, I hope you run a screen recorder when you try Origin.
It wouldn't be so bad but I already planned to put Origin in a closed sandbox and tightly control its ports, but I didn't even get past installation. The only time I've ever had something similar was years and years ago when I installed Worms World Party (well, one of the worms games) and it deleted my startup menu when it added its own entry. This is the first time I've had an installer take out a directory without being the result of malware. Hell I even checked to make sure I didn't accidentally try to use a fake installer from a spoof site, or that my router might have been breached, but nope, official installer and the router was still secure (UPnP was even disabled, as a matter of forgetfulness).

I feel vindicated in having abstained from Origin, but I felt annoyed that I got tricked on a click-through retroactive Origin-EULA through Darkspore, and felt then sodomised when I decided to trust EA with the smallest of things. >:/
