Even though I think you have to take this study with a pinch of salt I find it just glorious.

They definitely could have picked a better game because does HL2 really need a tutorial? Still, I've read the article before and it's nice to know I guess.

From what I understood from the article, it was the non-violent version that needed the tutorial. The article didn't go in detail how much it differs from the regular game, so maybe the "tagging" mechanic is pretty unorthodox?

Wow. So you mean if I try to do something and I don't have all the instructions available to perform the task at hand or I am handicapped in some way that I will become frustrated, or dare I say angry, at my inability to perform?

I never knew that. /s

They're using the term "aggressive" extremely loosely in this context and it's clear that they were searching for an already pre-conceived narrative prior to even going in to this study. I do not believe for a single second that any of the people that participated were "ready or likely to attack" anyone after getting frustrated from a video game.

Finally some "proof" to show to all these ignorant "there's been a school shooting, let's blame video games" people.
Sad that they need a study to find out the obvious...

Wow yes another bullshit study blaming violence/aggression on gaming, did not see this coming.

I think you missed the point. As I see it it's about people's character and the feeling of being insufficient. They don't blame games for it.

No, they just blame games for fueling said tendencies. That's the way i read it anyway.

This must be a joke :]... nice one :D!

Do the taxes of the people pay to the doctors o.O for study and research those kind of themes, is that true guys?

But also true, a lot of people, including me... should control the three hour cycle. All in excess is bad, videogames in excess also are bad. I cant argue that, :o don't blame me, is just my opinion.

When I first played Left 4 Dead, I thought the objective was to kill the other survivors and leave them for dead, kept getting kicked from games, I got so mad I did not understand why that I killeded my neighbor in cold blood.

In all seriousness though, I can see the correlation. I have never gotten "aggressive" in any way due to the violence I have seen in a game, nor have I let it alter my mood, the way I act, or any such behavioral pattern. There has been quite a few times though where I have not understood something in a tutorial, or not paid attention, or just flat out do not understand something, and I have let it irritate me enough to alter my mood... aggressively though, I would not agree with, but maybe enough to snap at someone in conversation, then feel bad about it afterwards xD.
